Fits like a glove on my Kindle 7th Gen, 6''.Be very careful to buy the correct cover for your kindle - they vary in size and shape depending on the generation.If you're not sure, go here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/?nodeId=201263790The difference is mainly in the shape - there is a photo sensor that wakes up your kindle when you open the cover and puts it to sleep when you close it.If you get the wrong cover that sensor will not work so you might end up having your kindle on even though the case is closed and you're not using it. This will drain the battery and the more you charge it, the more you shorten your battery life.A part from that, the cover is real leather and good quality. It has a little pocket on the side where you can store loose cash or a credit card when you're out on the beach.The cover closes with a little button that is tight enough not to open on its own.And best of all - this cover is only a fraction of the cost of the equivalent Amazon version. I haven't seen the original but I doubt the any increase in quality can justify tripling the price.

I read the reviews and made sure it was the "right" case. I have a 7th generation 6" Touchscreen. NOT A PAPER WHITE. So I expected it to be a perfect fit.First it came in a dark blue--not the black I ordered. Second, it did not turn on when you open the cover or off when you close. Third, it looked nothing like the picture. It did not have the clasp. The case was longer than the kindle. And the place where you slide it in was on the wrong side. I open a cover from right to left. The Kindle was on the left--weird. It was held in place by velcro on the left side. In the picture it looks like there is some kind of flap on the left--that doesn't exist. There is a space on the bottom that allows you to manually turn it on and off--but it advertised that it was automatic--and where is the clasp that is pictured. Someone might like this, but if this is what they are selling, the picture and the description should reflect that. And for pete's sake at least give me the color I ordered. Needless to say, I called Amazon and they graciously and quickly offered me a refund. I'm done with Elsse.UPDATE: 1-29-16 The company wrote to me explaining that it sounded as if Amazon had sent me the wrong cover, i.e. for Fire something or other. They said they would send me the right cover and color. I received the cover from Elsse the other day. It is ALL that I had hoped and more. It looks and feels like very nice leather. The kindle does fit perfectly and it turns on just as the description says. It is a great cover for this Kindle at a great price. I did not have to return the original.

I ordered this case in black, and it looks and feels very sleek and of good quality. Overall, the case holds my 7th Gen nicely; however, it is a tiny bit loose on the right side of where the tablet sits, and it is a little awkward to close (e.g., you have to position it before you close it). I almost think it would close more readily with a pen inside the pen holder. Also, I would have loved to see the slot to slip the tablet into along the inside rather than on the top - I have a case for a different tablet where the slot for the tablet runs along the inside and it feels a little more secure. Overall, though, can't complain - good quality and a great price!

I've had the case for a couple days now and I have decided to return it. It's not that it is a terrible case. At first blush it seemed quite good. However, after a couple days of light use it's already showing signs of wear and tear. The more annoying issue is that the on/off magnet in the case doesn't always work properly. I didn't expect perfection but often I would find before the magnet turned the device off it would end up highlighting some text or making a book mark. Finally, the case fits well at the bottom but he top strip of leather doesn't sit flush with the device. It bows out very slightly which isn't a huge problem but is something I personally find annoying. On the plus side the the clasp that keeps the case closed seems secure and makes a nice clicking sound when it is in place correctly. All in all this is an okay case but it's short comings were too much for me to keep it. I'm going to try a similar Poetic case.

Fantastic product! Was looking for a good, cheap protective covering for my new Kindle (base model), and this works perfectly. I was not expecting it to be as good a quality as it is, but it is sturdy, soft to the touch (vinyl "pleather" type of material, good quality, though), and does the job it needs to do without frills.This case also has a magnetic clasp that turns the Kindle on and off automatically when the case is flipped open or closed shut. I wasn't aware that the base Kindle has this ability until I got this case, so that was a pleasant surprise, too.I whole-heartedly recommend this case if you want one for your Kindle. It's a great product at a fantastic price.

I was looking for a Kindle cover that would let me carry some paper to take notes with.Nice feel, perfect fit for the right version of Kindle, and lets me carry a small pad or some 3x5 filing cards for notes - all for less than $10 when I bought it (July 2016).Only just started using it, so I can't comment on how it wears over the longer haul.

I like this case as the feel of it is good & it protects the Kindle very well. The snap that it closes with is both good & bad. It's good in that it closes it up tight so it is good to carry. It's bad as the snap is kind of in the way when you're reading.

The cover fit the little e-reader good (Kindle 7'th gen). for the price you cannot beat it, for the way I carry the-reader around this was perfect. It will not be carried outside only in a tablet case and not sure how effective it would be if it was ever dropped, so please base everything accordingly..
