Economical reel
Purchased reel to use on a ultralight rod setup for lake trout, bass, crappie and bluegill. Been using for several months now and for the price, it has performed well. Drag surprisingly has functioned exceedingly beyond my expectations. Would not recommend for any game fish larger than 2-LBS as drag system is not very precise (it is a Diwa, not Diawa).

Om a fan of Diwa fishing equipment. This reel is beautiful and us very smooth.

Ok for very light rigging
Small, reels smooth, but does not feel very durable. It also does not mount securely on a rod, the mounting point is not long enough.

Very poor quality! Don’t buy!
Total junk! Used this with 12# line on a 6’6” rod and the first redfish caught on it resulted in the handle breaking off! I was able to pull the line in by hand, thus saving the catch (31” redfish), but this reel is so cheaply made that it would be unwise to purchase a handle for it. Good thing to remember is if the product is using a name very similar to a better quality name, it’s a cheap knockoff. It isn’t close to being a Daiwa!
