Novus Sapphire Earl Grey Tea, 12 Count Tea Bags

I love this Earl Grey specifically for its flaws. It's not very Earl Grey at all, actually. The bergamot flavor is not even detectable. That being said, it is a delicious tea! The Malva flowers they add to this make it aromatic without overpowering the tea. And the tea is smooth and well balanced. I drink this tea either plain or with the tiniest hint of sugar (it brings out the floral flavors). Im a loose leaf girl, but this is definitely one of my favorite bagged teas.

I saw this tea at a coffee shop in a hospital, believe it or not, and decided to try it. I really like Earl Grey tea, and have tried many, both loose leaf and bagged. This is the best I have ever had, and I have it on "subscribe and save". I just made a little pot of it a few minutes ago. :)They call this type of bag a "pyramid" bag. We are science and math geeks in this house, so we call them what they actually are: tetrahedrons. Yeah....that counts as fun for us. Heehee. But seriously, get this tea. The flavor is so smooth and the aroma makes me happy. There are teas with stronger bergamot essence out there, but novus has blended these flavors very well....not too "bergamot-ey" and not too flowery.

If you like Earl Grey, but don't want too much of the bergamot taste, this is the tea for you. I find the bergamot in this like the "life" in Monty Python's parrot "e's not dead, only 'sleeping' ". Subtle. Very subtle. Extremely subtle. It's so subtle, I can't taste the bergamot at all. Perhaps I'm just missing it, or maybe I got a bad batch, I don't know.As for the black tea itself, it's perfectly fine, smooth, nice bit of body. For an unprepossessing black tea, this hits the spot. I'm more of a  Davidson's Tea Bulk, Earl Grey, 16-Ounce Bag  fan, where the bergamot is bold and up front. The Davidson's also seems to have more "body", perhaps the organic black tea helps.If you like subtle and understated, the Novus may be your cup of tea. If you want strong, bold flavor, go for Davidson's.

I love this tea, as the bergamot is not overpowering to me as it is in most earl grey tea. I just wish that it came with more bags at a cheaper price. The subscribe and save option helps with the cost. I discovered this at the cafeteria at work where it was $.75 a bag, and this is still a better price. The bags are the best flowing I have found.

This is one of the best teas I have ever had. I've been a tea drinker for over half a century and this is one of the very best. The aroma is deep and pure. The flavor is full and long-lasting. With or without honey or cream, the taste is clear. Please use bottled water for the very best results if you live in an area with heavy minerals in your tap water.

Love this tea! It has a nice favor and aroma. Amazon is the only place I have found it.

I am addicted to this tea. We purchase it on a monthly subscription.
