So cute!
I teach first grade and was having some issues with students being too close and in each other’s space. This was a great, cute and appropriate read-aloud! Now when they get too close I say, “Self check, are you being a personal space invader?” It’s perfect.

Cute book!
Cute book. Definitely a conversation starter for my 4 year old who has no sense of personal space. I was looking for a book that talked about what personal space is, why it's important to have boundaries, and had examples of what not to do. This kinda touches on all of those bases! Harrison P. Spader learns a trick to keep enough space between him & others but then he ends up using that trick too much and creating too much space sometimes. That's not really a problem we have and the book focuses a lot on that. I just felt that part took away from the message we were really trying to convey when reading this book. It's still a great read, and again, it's a conversation starter! It gets you talking about personal space in a fun way & that has really helped us a lot.

Love it
Got this book for my five-year-old son with ADHD. We have taught him these concepts repeatedly for a long time but having a book to teach the concepts with beautiful illustrations really helped bring the point home. Highly recommend this book.

Perfect!
This was the perfect book to teach my pre-k class all about personal space. We re-read it multiple times through the year and used strategies mentioned inside. Great book for social skills!

very enjoyble to read to my children
very cute childrens book, well written and easy for young children to follow. I can simply say "space saver" and they will step back and think about how close they are to the other person.

Good, but a little heavy-handed on the lesson
Good story that a lot of kids can relate to. The moral of the story gets a little heavy-handed towards the end and I change some of the words when reading aloud to my class so it doesn't feel too preachy.
