Met my expectations by 150%!
I read reviews and did my research before purchasing this cookie press. All I wanted was a good press to make cheese straws. I knew that a metal press was the key. (The first press I ever purchased, with S&H green stamps, was a metal press and lasted for 25 years) After the Mirro press broke mid way during Christmas baking, I purchased a plastic press. Well, needless to say, it broke and so did the next four plastic presses. This year I was bound and determined to buy a quality press, knowing that it would cost a bit more. I found what I needed in the Marcato press. 1. Very easy and painless to use. This press does not aggravate the carpal tunnel in my wrists. 2. Efficient. The cheese straw dough came out of the press like water through a seive. I could not believe how easy and fast I made a batch. 3. Cost-Yes, it cost a bit more but it is a quality product. Well worth the additional $20.00 I spent. I am extremely pleased with this press and highly recommend it. Right tool for the right job!

If you make pasta by hand, stop. This is the only mixer you need
I make pasta by hand for years, this mixer made my live so easy. 4 min and the dough is ready to wrap. No kneading needed after either. The extruders are all well made and the machine is quiet. Super easy to clean with a wet paper towel.

Happily Ever After.
I had prepared my Christmas tree cookie dough, filled my (very) old Mirro cookie press only to discover the rod was stripped and was no longer useable. I proceeded to pull out my super shooter press. Filled it, plugged it in only to discover the disc that pushes the dough out had broken off. What to do? I wrapped the perfectly green dough in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. Amazon here I come. After reading the reviews about this press I decided to order one. Two day delivery got it here today, 12-23. After reading the directions, washing the press and warming the dough I proceeded to produce wonderful Christmas Tree Cookies. Only time will tell if this is as durable as it appears, but I anticipate years of cookie baking.

Bit disappointed that it's not all metal construction
I've been wanting an all metal construction press as the plastic ones don't last long. While in the image the item looks like it's completely metal, the main part that takes the stress is made out of plastic! That means when, not if, it breaks, you need a new press. I might as well have bought a cheaper plastic press instead of this one! the cookie discs are rather unfinished looking compared to the other brands I have had so that was also a disappointment. Someone please point me an all-metal cookie press!

I Finally replaced my 50yr old Mirro Cookie Press
I have been making Spritz cookies since I was a kid 50 plus years ago but recently my old Mirro press has been giving me problems. I hated to give up my family "heirloom" but many of the shapes just didn't work anymore and the cookies weren't coming off the press on the ones I had been using. I thought that since I no longer live in MN the problem was warm FL temperatures making the dough too soft so I tried refrigerating it first-still no good. So I tried this even though I was not liking that the tube holds only about 1/2 of what the old press held which means refilling. But I love it. One click and each cookie came off the press neatly. No guessing at how much to screw down the plunger for each like the old press. Plus it has a size adjustment so you really get two different looks from each shape cutout. I will try to post an example of that. It has many of the same shapes you have been using for years plus some new ones I didn't have time to try this year, but note that it does not have the huge tube for making something like popovers. Save that picture from the side panel so you know what some of the shapes can do because it isn't always clear from just looking at it.
