Digital Orbital Shaker, Adjustable Speed at 20-230rpm

First, the belt broke, looks very thin and cheap, almost a rubber band. There was a second one inside. But soon after replacing it, the device seemed too weak to rotate the platform. For the money I thought it may last a bit longer.

This seems like it would be good if I can find a belt that isn't junk. I really only got to do a test run on this before it broke. I decided to let it clean some petri dishes. In other words, I put some cleaner in some petri dishes and let it shake it around. I made sure that it weighed less than 1kg. I set it to 30 minutes, and 100rpm. Both settings were extremely easy. You just use the buttons on the front. It couldn't be much easier. You can just turn it on if you want it to run continuously. I came back after a half an hour to find that the belt had snapped. So, now I have to replace the belt. Less than 30 minutes is a bit of a short life for a belt. I think this thing will be fine if I find a decent belt that will fit it. It seemed to be doing a good job before it broke. It certainly is easy to use.
