South ShoreVersa Computer Desk with Hutch, Gray Maple

This is a very nice desk. The small size is perfect for a small bedroom. The assembly is not easy for everyone. You have to understand the parts labeling construct and the pictures in the instruction book (no explanations). I have put together a lot of IKEA furniture and this is on par with the more complex pieces or harder. The part numbers are faintly stamped on most of the pieces. I could not find them without assistance from the kind customer service. My son and I have put in 3 hours so far and will finish the drawers tomorrow. Most of that time was spent figuring out the instructions - the actual construction is not hard.

I love this desk. When removing all the pieces it looked very overwhelming to put together. However the instructions were very easy to follow and very descriptive. It ended up being much easier than I first thought. It took some creativity but I was able to assemble it on my own. My only gripe is that the center support piece was damaged upon arrival. It does not affect the function of the desk. It just shows some cracks. Overall I’m incredibly happy with the quality and look of the desk.

Easy to put together and perfect for what we were looking for

We loved the color and the finish of the desks so we ordered two. Assembly two desks was not as easy as we had thought. First, we have assembly many desks and fixed many issues in the past. This set of desk had a lot inconsistencies.First desk: The pieces arrived with a few dings and chips due to packaging and delivery. We managed to successfully assembled the first desk after we drilled a new mis-aligned holes.Second desk: This one too had a few dings and chips. The assembly was much more problematic. The misaligned holes could not be easily fixed by drilling new holes (because they would make one very large holes, hence we had turn the piece backward and re-drill new holes on the finished surface and exposed the unfinished surface. Once we started to assemble the shelf and the drawers we discovered that we received 2 pieces of P1 and missing a piece of G2 which are essential to assembly of the shelf.

This desk is the perfect size and comes with a lot of room to store papers and other items it’s such an amazing color to!

What it's packed in there's no way it won't come damaged. Thin box with no padding.One major issue, the drawers are crooked.Instructions are terrible.Nice looking desk aside from the damage.

Sturdy and easy to put together. Expensive look but not expensive price tag.

we got this desk for a small home office space. after looking for a long time my husband and i decided to go with this one for the design, color, and storage. it had a couple of tiny scratches and the packaging was damaged, but overall you get what you pay for and we didn’t expect 100% perfection as it’s not the highest quality desk in the market. it was pretty easy to assemble, but took a few hours. i do recommend to anyone looking for a nice looking desk for a great price. overall i would buy again.

This desk is beautiful. It is heavy and well structured, everything lines up. It is not wobbly or flimsy in any way at all. I was very impressed with it. The colour of it is a really nice darker shade of grey and very easy to add into any room. Lots of space and different shelves, drawers and cubbies for different types of storage. Perfect size. I am very happy with it and great price, exact same one was on Wayfair for over $200 more.

I cannot say enough positive things about South Shore furniture company. They offer and deliver on customer support. Their instructions are in drawing form and so detailed that even someone who has never put together a piece of furniture should have no trouble. I actually had fun putting it together, and a sense of pride when it was done ... both that I had done it myself, but also how great it looked. The desk I ordered is way better quality than expected. Very pretty, very sturdy, a joy to use, high quality for the price paid. Do not hesitate to order from this company - you will be well pleased with your purchase.ss

I love this desk. I've looked for HOURS for the perfect desk for me.I gave 4 stars only because I wish it'd have been bigger. I like having desks space that's why I chose this desk. To be organized. I thought the shelf under the desk was for the keyboard... HEADS UP, it's a fix shelf.I LOVE the book shelf from under the desk, after a while it started to bend a little. Maybe a little more support for when you have so many books could be nice. Had a little screw issue in one the drawer, the top one wouldn't close proprely because of a screw that wasn't fitting right. After playing a little with it its now smooth and good to use.I love the space and storage of it tho. Even if I wished it'd have been bigger.I definitely recommend if you are looking to have an organized desk with space. I didn't want a table type of desk. I needed storage and space. This one was what I was looking for.

We purchased this for my wife’s home office. Very nice to be able to purchase a desk made in Canada. The quality of this desk was very evident. Cuts were clean and true. Finish was defect free. Connectors were of good quality. The real bonus was that all the jigged connector holes lined up perfect. No modifications needed! So nice to not have to deal with having to make it fit and when finished it looked great. Everyone’s happy with this purchase. The desk is decent, with the core of it being quite similar in material to IKEA furniture by comparison, with the top being quite impressively solid. However, I had horrible experience as a rural buyer with UPS delivering it to the wrong address despite the clear instructions detailing my house address, and damages to the wood were likely due to such mishandling. Overall, it's a really beautiful desk aesthetically, relatively solid and spacious if a little confusing to construct, but the service on the delivery end left much to be desired.
