Clawfoot Tub 3-3/8 Inch Adapter Claw Foot Bathtub Kitchen Faucet

I realize that when I buy items for restoration projects, it can take me months to get around to installing the item, let alone reviewing it. I’m taking a new approach by reviewing first impressions and will update my review with install notes, tips/tricks and more photos. I bought a new tub/shower setup for a 1930’s American Standard bathroom. The faucet/tub/shower set arrived and in fantastic condition. It’s exactly what I needed. Except for one thing: My water line pipes are 10” apart and the new shower valve system can go up to 8” apart. My bad for not checking but lo and behold here comes a solution for such an occasion. After much research and review ratings, I landed on this water line variable adjustment set, in polished chrome no less! It arrived today and when I opened it, I was happy to see that the parts were well packaged and included a spare gasket set. They are made of quality brass that was molded then finished in polished chrome. There are no mold markings on the product and all threads are solid and high quality. I measured the threads and the ones I purchased are 100% 1/2” MPT for water inlet that connects to the water outlet pipes in the wall. For those having issues with the MPT: Know that the polished chrome adds a thin layer to the male fitting. If you cannot get it to thread, I recommend buffing off the chrome finish with a wire wheel or hardset wire brush. Be sure to use a high quality pipe thread PTFE tape or do what I do and line the threads with blue threadlocker then assemble the fittings together. The other end is 3/4” Comp for the connecting valve on the finished side of the wall. I really appreciate that they included water shutoff valves inside each fitting. That’s a nice touch. More to come once installed, however at first blush, these appear to be the product that will be the solution for my setup and yours too.

Bought to use on old claw tub that holes are narrower. This helped fit nice faucet on tub and well made.

Fit like a glove. Exactly what I needed to put a new Fossett on my vintage clawfoot tub. The adapters were quick and easy to use and actually allowed the Fossett to set a couple of inches higher on the tub.

So it works and it needs a few things changed on it longer threaded valve because it barely makes it thru the holes on tub, needs a lock washer added to back to make it sturdy and not fall thru the holes , does not come with one . I just found a brass washer at Lowe’s and used with a toilet connection it works .

We ended up buying a whole new faucet... but this part was our backup plan if the new faucet did not work. Claw tub 3 " apart holes. Old faucet would not go down to 3" apart. Plumber was coming and new faucet arrived first, a day ahead, so we used it and it worked. But, these parts were our plan B and they are substantial.

Managed to install these adapters to my new tub faucet with no difficulty - no plumber's tape needed. Matches the chrome of fixture so well it looks like it came with the faucet. I haven't tried to adjust the water flow, as the description says you can.

The product fits very loosely we will have to retro fit to get a sturdier fit

Made with good quality the thread is good and deep enough to work for a claw foot tub

Bought for taps that would not fit my claw foot holes. They are great quality but I did return the taps for another style so I not use and returned these as well . Nothing I could see wrong with the quality

Had to go buy washers and bolts to hold it tight to the tub but they worked great
