Calling all psychedelic rangers
For my purposes, this is one of the best finds of the year. Received mine only a week ago and the price has gone up by $12 since. Anyone making psychedelic or experimental type music will, I think, find something to love in this pedal. If realism is your bag, actual springs or plates are the way to go. You can get a subtle reverb out of this, but its strength is in going over the top. Combines brilliantly with delay, especially reverse if you've got it, to make massive pad type sounds. Controls were not obvious, at least to me, instructions also vague on this, but just took spending some time to get to know the nuances. Personally, the LFO and center frequency controls took the most time to wrap my head around. Tip: in common with much of their direct competition, very small movements of a knob will cause huge changes in sound, as well as changes in its relation to other parameters, i.e: one tweak will usually necessitate a few more. Also it is best to let any sound come to a complete stop before making a change, it is otherwise sensitive to interference and weirdo glitch tones. If you like that sort of thing, and I do, these are great and easy to coax out. The only negatives I can find, and it's being picky, are that a battery option would be nice and that there is an audible sort of click when engaging, but the switch is non latching so its not the huge "pop" that some have said. All of this is, of course, IMHO, YMMV, etc. Bottom line, if you are adventurous with your sound, this is still one of the best deals around - but rising fast. I first took note of the Snake Bite when it was around 30 bucks, bought it for 40, now it's at 53 - this is in the space of maybe a month and a half. It seems the secret is out and also it seems like Caline pedals are quietly disappearing from search results as new and less expensive Azor(same company)mini pedals are coming out. Hope this was of use to someone!

Wide range, from subtle to overbearing. Great.
It feels cheap, and the knobs don't feel good, doesn't include a battery adapter as one comment said. But I'm still giving it five stars. Because it sounds great, and does exactly what it claims to. You set it up how you like it, and none of that really matters, you get good reverb with tons of options for a great price. I expected a cheap pedal that would sound okay. Got a cheap pedal that sounds great. Im happy.

Great find!
First of all, this reverb is a one trip pony. Better know that going in BUT if you are looking for a cavernous dark gloomy creepy reverb than this is your pedal. I keep the Res and Decay opposite of each other. Both cranked makes it a huge mess. You can really back this off and make it a great small room church sound. Best thing about this pedal is that it has a Pre Delay. Most budget reverbs do not. I originally bought the Gokko Creepy Reverb. It’s identical to this one except for a horrible digital noise that comes out of the Creepy even when not engaged. It took me over an hour to testing to figure out where that noise was coming from. Great find! Alittle backstory, I bought mine from Azor off Amazon. I ordered it LAST Christmas! Never showed up and I asked for my money back, they never responded. One day last week, this pedal showed up after 12 month!!! I’m glad it did because I just got the Creepy and discovered the noise issue. Crazy stuff! Can’t go wrong with this one just know what you’re buying upfront.

If you know how to use this reverb it can sound great!
This unit is amazing for the price, but you have to know where and how to apply it. If you are expecting to sound like you are playing an Eddie solo in an arena, then you will be disappointed. That's not how you use this reverb. But if you want to sound like you are in a large room playing clean, that it can do. If you own a tube amp and play clean you will get better tone than a spring tank on a Fender, but you have to work at dialing it in. You have to find the sweat spot to what your amp output is to the mix. I zero out all the pre stuff and just mess with the three knobs at the bottom. The mix is obviously the most important. The point between lush room and trashy digital noise is pretty far a part. But you also need to anticipate your string attack to not square wave the reflection.

Great sounding reverb pedal!
SO VERSATILE! This was my first reverb pedal and I still keep it, the quality is very good and it has a lot of options. Love it, consumes 300 mA because it's digital though

Decent reverb, not great
This pedal is just OK. I'm not sending it back, but not blown away by it either. For the cheap price, it does the job. I use it mostly just to add a little depth and ambiance when I'm playing clean. It works well if you want to turn it up for surf tones too. The sound is kind of dark though and a little flat. Even though there are several controls to alter that, they don't do much. Once again, it's OK for a cheap pedal, but don't expect a lush spacious reverb.

Great reverb for less than most all reverb pedals!
Thanks to YouTube and the internet, finding very good quality effects for much less is much, much easier than 27+ years ago. Caline and others make some great effects for much less than pricier known brands. And they actually sound great and are solid pedals in my experience. Built like a rock, clicks on and off, and smooth turning knobs. Comes with a 9 volt adapter if you want to run off a 9 volt battery. Sounds great. Well worth it.

Pretty Decent Pedal
I have three pedal boards inhabited by some really nice pedals, some very expensive. This pedal did not disappoint me and has earned a place alongside some of the best. Construction is good. Face design is attractive. The non-click footswitch was especially nice. I read many of the reviews before buying and got a bit discouraged by some of them. I’m really unclear why reviewers complained that the controls didn’t do much. I found them all responsive and did what they we’re supposed to do. The reverb itself was pretty good. I would have no problem recommending this pedal. I do have some complaints. First, I found it a bit tedious to adjust to a very subtle setting, BUT I haven’t spent more than 20 minutes with it. Second, the controls have abbreviations for labeling that are not immediately understandable. After working with it a while, knowing what the controls were by the abbreviations was not too bad. Third, the manual is very brief and unclear. I found a much more clear and useful manual on the Caline website. Why they don’t print that one is a mystery and not good, I’m guessing, for their company. All in all, I’m glad I made this purchase.

Truly impressed
I didn't expect much from a budget pedal, but it is impressive indeed. Once you understand the parameter knobs and wha they can do, it adds a wonderful ambience to the type of music i play. No issues with buzz or hiss. Silent when turning on and off. I'm a happy camper !

Añade ruido a mi pedalera

Couldn't be happier
This pedal is amazing. The tone you get out of it is fantastic, clean sounding (no noise), and very adjustable. I could not be happier. I would pay double the price for this pedal. Honestly. Do not pass this up. Look at videos online for how it sounds. You will not be disappointed.
