i use a spray emu oil product to spray on the tip of these after i have wiped with PrepH witch hazel wipes. this allows for easy insertion. research emu oil for vaginal/anal issues. sometimes if the BM was unpleasant when i am in the middle of a flare up i use the PrepH wipes several times to blot. i wait a few hours for the area to calm down and then use the emu oil on the tip of these to insert. the package says to use up to 6 per day. wow that is a lot for an area in the midst of a flare up. i have used one at night and one in the day and have noticed a major improvement with pain and shrinkage and no more bleeding. i deal with flareups of pregnancy issues every now and again. sitz baths with epsom salt also help. all these things i am mentioning have "natural" ingredients so feel that i am not harming myself with harsher products. i am extremely sensitive to almost everything and am shocked my bum area can tolerate these 3 things i am mentioning. here. for my case, however, less is more and i do not deal with the area after BMs unless a general calm has taken over after the PrepH wipes

Before ordering this product I read mfg. specs and one negative review that the product box was damaged and product itself melted. I made an inquiry about how it is shipped and communicated that I was in the Houston area, that the mfg recommends keeping product under 80 degrees. I further told them we reach that temp by 10am and I didn't want the product melted. I even paid $22.95 for "2nd day shipping." Turns out that was 3-day priority mail (rate:$9.95). And guess what? Box was in good shape upon arrival but the product was partially melted. I'd even read NYhealthandbeauty's (or whatever their name was)shipping rates page and saw I was overcharged. When I called them on it they denied it and took the page down! I had to browbeat them into doing the right thing, AND contact Amazon for assistance. Wish I could rate the product for you, but I sent it back. In this case I think it's better to warn you about NYhealthbeauty anyway. They lied pretty much right from the start about everything. BUYER BEWARE.
