Easy to use and accurate.
Simple to use. After getting familiar with the controls and how to handle the scanner, the technique to scan text and images is rather straight forward, and I found the supplied OCR software quite accurate. The unit is small, light, and easily fits into a briefcase or other tote.

Works perfect, use it for docs, or for any flat surface like for art projects.
Easy to turn off and on, easy to set file type, easy to retrieve files, works smooth. Just move it slow especially on high resolution.

Terrible device
The first one I got kept giving error messages but with a bunch of trial and error I got some scans to work. I got a replacement one and it still does the same thing even after I troubleshooting with tech support. Constantly will stop on the middle of your scan and not record anything, throws random error messages. Do not buy.

Solved the "SD Card Full" Error — Now It Scans Perfectly
Using this for a trip to Greece, and I’m really happy with the results. I noticed a ton of errors in the reviews. Please read the manual carefully! You must press the TIMESET and the FORMAT button before you can start scanning. They’re tiny pinhole buttons, so use a toothpick or even an earring stem (that’s what I used) to press them. Once you do this, the “SD Card FULL” message goes away, the green button should turn on to SCAN, and the scanner works perfectly.

Bit of a learning curve, but works great.
Purchased for family who do a lot of scanning. Sister said that figuring out the pace of scanning is a bit tricky at first, but once she got the hang of it (4 or 5 tries), it worked great and she was pleased at being able to scan very large documents and maps. Got the job done, no regrets. It just would have helped to have some directions about pace.

Money well spent.
In my opinion this was $60 well spent. Great for scanning recipes. Took a litte bit of practice to get good scans but now I can get them done quickly. Good quality even on low resolution. Very portable and easy to use.

You can scan anything with this.
I bought this for my college aged daughter. I think she likes it. She’s never really told me she likes it. I mean she said Thank You when I bought it for her, but it’s never really come up in our conversations. For example, she’s never said, dad, I was using my scanner and etc.,etc.. I’m sure it’s the best portable scanner available at this price and would definitely buy it again.

Used once and it died
I got it work and was able to look at some scans. But after the first use the err button comes on every time you turn it on and automatically turns itself off. So yeah 3 scans that were a test. It said it had some sort of fatal error.
