Has anyone used without egg?whAt sub?

I've used it without an egg and just added water and it worked okay to make okonomiyaki.

The product contains wheat and soy, I didn't not see any animal protein in the mix, if you mix it with an egg substitute you can keep it vegan.

What is the country of origin of this product?

I believe it is made in California

I have been using okonomiyaki recipes that call for regular flour & I find the inside to be too gummy. Does this give a better texture than flour?

Yes, I think it is better than just flour. It's more of a dense pancake texture. I found that the thinner or looser I layer the cabbage the better it cooks through.
