10 inch 100% Afro Human Hair Mannequin Head for Hairdresser

Bought this as a non-hair person simply to learn how to French braid my patients hair. I just got it today and immediately put it to use. I got the 14” 100% real hair style mannequin. Hair is shiny and soft and feels exactly like real hair on a real person. I did not need to brush it, it came tangle-free straight out of the box. It did not tangle up while I was working. There was a small amount of shedding after my first work through, maybe 15-20 hairs. I have not washed it yet but I plan to wash, dry, and heat style it and I’ll update my review to reflect. It has a clamp that attaches to a ball that goes into the neck so it stays in one place but the ball allows you to tilt the head in all directions. Setting up the clamp was very easy, although it did not come with instructions but it could easily be looked up. The clamp works great, the ball obviously allows the head to tilt a little bit unintentionally if you’re heavy handed when working, I think that will sort itself out as I practice more and get a feel for how much tension I’m using. Overall after the first use as a novice I’m very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend.

As a beginner natural hairstylist, I wanted a mannequin head with hair texture that closely mimics my own to practice with. This is a great option for those looking to perfect their craft. The hair washes well, though it does have some shedding during detangling and styling—nothing excessive, but it is there. It blow-dries well, though I did notice the ends became dry after blow-drying. Overall, I would recommend this mannequin. I was satisfied enough that I bought a second one just two days after receiving the first.

Nice mannequin with curly hair. The hair is similar to a mix of 4B/4A hair. Got it to learn how to part, flat twist, and braid to the scalp. Her hair is fluffy and poofy before washing but once you shampoo and condition it the hair pattern is a looser curl. I’m assuming the hair would revert back to poofy if blow dried. Sheds a little bit when washing, conditioning, and detangling but that’s to be expected. Overall I’d recommend it.

overall a good mannequin head but it does have some things about it that isnt so good for one it sheds like crazy at least 3/4 of the hair is gone and the stand does break overtime it isnt the best but great starter
