Q: Is the antifreeze added in the water?

Hello,No the antifreeze is kept separate from the water. It merely circulates in the solar loop and the heat from the solar loop is transferred to the water by a stainless steel heat exchanger. The antifreeze is only non-toxic because this is a government requirement in case something goes wrong with the heat exchanger. In our systems also there is an additional pressure relief valve that assures that the antifreeze cannot get into the water.Thank YouHeliatos Solar

Q: Does the six panel GH system qualify for federal tax credits?

Hello,Federal tax credits are generally contingent on the state credits. Most states require an SRCC rating which we do not maintain on our systems so they would not be eligible for any credits. Our approach is to not invest in the multitude of ratings and listings that are required for rebates and pass the savings on to the customer. This way our prices are lower in spite of you not being able to claim any rebates.Thank You,Heliatos Solar

Q: What is the average temperature this system will heat the water to?

Hello,If the system is properly sized and installed correctly the water should be between 120 and 160 degrees with normal usage.Oversized systems with very good insulation can get much hotter but the pump will shut itself down at 180 degrees.Thank you,Heliatos Solar
