Excellent Lens for Mobile Photography
This is a excellent, well-made and easy-to-use protrait/tele lens. In keeping with the adage, โthe best camera is the camera thats with youโ carrying add-on lenses for our smart phones really increases the versatility, creativity and enjoyment of our camera phones. I bought this to go with my iPhone XS Max. The clip works well and is very stable on the phone, even though it can block a some screen functions of the camera app. I have been using Moment lenses over the years and Iโd say without a doubt that Blackeye is right on par with their quality. If I wasnโt already immersed in their system of lenses and cases, I would definitely be buying Blackeye lenses. The only caveat that I would add is that if you are looking for a telephoto for landscape or wildlife photography you are going to be a bit disappointed because of softness around the edges. You can use this limitation (Due to physics?) in your favor by always shooting your subject in the middle, and then crop the image in post-processing to make it compositionally stronger (eg, rule of thirds) and eliminate some of the soft edges. The center of the frame is very sharp and picks up a lot of detail, which was very impressive. Blackeye has a few advantages over the Moment system. First, you donโt need a dedicated case for the lenses, which saves you extra cost. The other reason is that Blackeye lenses are priced more competitively compared to Moment. If I am not mistaken, it seems like the Blackeye lens gives you a bit more reach over the Moment telephoto. If you are willing to live with the softer edges and a tiny bit of your screen being blocked by the clip when its on the iPhone 2x lens, you canโt go wrong with the Blackeye portrait/tele lens. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to expand their options with a camera phone.

Optical artifact
The 2x magnification is great. Iโm not satisfied with the optic quality. The lense artifact causes curvature in photos, check attached photo where straight door frames are curved. Iโd pay $30 more for different brand through Apple store.

Performs As Advertised, Fun Accessory
I bought this product for my wife's birthday. My thinking was that the Black Eye || Pro Portrait Tele G4 Clip-on Zoom Lens would be an easy way for her to enhance her enjoyment of her iPhone's camera, and I wasn't wrong. The lens does just what it says and she's been having fun with it. Only reason I've laid off giving it five stars is we haven't owned it very long.

I love this product and will be purchasing more products from this line
Oh my God. I am a photographer and I enjoy shooting pics especially random on the go pics. I believe in investing in great glass for superb images and I have to say that Black Eye products are everything plus more. The depth of field is so creamy almost like my professional lenses for my DSLR.

garbage
No matter how much I adjust the lens, it does not fully cover the lens of my iPhone and the images all have vignetting. Also, the zoom power is weak. And the clip doesn't hold well. The lens moves or slips around on the phone all the time. Not worth a cent.

I'd Buy A Moment Instead
I bought this lens specifically to compare it to others for portrait usage. For the money, I'd definitely buy a Moment instead. The attached image is a comparison (composite, one image pasted partially over the other) between this lens and the Moment 58mm tele on my iPhone SE. The focal length is nearly the same, but the Black Eye lens has a lot of smearing near the edges whereas the Moment lens is probably acceptably sharp for most purposes all the way to the edge. The lantern and post are about ten feet away and the lantern is about the same size as a person's head, so that should give you a sense of the magnification provided by this lens.

Outstanding performance shot...
Work excellent with Samsung Galaxy Note 9, S8, and Tab S3. Well done... I would buy it again as gifts.

Warning
Doesnโt have the bells and whistles it claims. Cheap product, fell apart after a few uses.

Good quality telephoto lens for reasonable price
I am an avid iPhone photographer and actively learning about iPhone photography. This telephoto lens gives me high quality, crisp photos that retain quality even when I crop fairly aggressively. There are two downsides. The first is that I have to remove my iPhone case to use it. The second is that you do have to play with the lens on the clip a bit to get it adjusted so that itโs squarely over the lens. Itโs not exactly difficult, but it is a bit finicky. Once you have the lens adjusted centrally, then the images will be nice and crisp. I have struggled to put the lens on in low light conditions where it is difficult to see what you are doing.

Says For All Smartphones, But Apparently Not Mine
Pros: -Do not lose overall quality of photo (vs with phone zoom) -Fairly easy to clip on and line up (when camera is on) -Comes with a cover for lens and a carrying case Cons: -Lens isn't big enough to cover my smartphones camera (Samsung Galaxy S8). No matter how I clipped it on, there is some blackness from lens in corner(s) of my photos -Blurring at outer edges of the photo

Great lens for about town
Easy to use, just not so sharp for long distance shots. Husband who is an avid photographer with a good camera was pleased to receive it as he snaps with his phone when about town
