Doheney customer was very good in resolving the damage issue and expediting the replacement.
First heater was damaged. After it was returned to the vendor a replacement was shipped. Lost about 10 days total. New unit is up and running with no issue after about 10 total hours run time.

Check out Raypak service companies in your area before purchasing through Amazon.
Works great, until it doesn't. Less than 1 year old and the heat exchanger went bad and lost water out the sides. Contacted customer service and they were very professional. Said the heater was covered. HOWEVER, they do not have a factory repair company in the Chicagoland area and I would need to find my own repair company. They will pay for them to look at it, but would need all replacement parts coming directly from them. Can't find a certified repair company to look at in our area. The heater is connected directly to my filter and haven't been able to use that for almost 2 weeks now. I purchased a new replacement Raypak heater so it can hook up directly to where the old unit connections are located. IF and WHEN I CAN GET THE YEAR OLD UNIT REPAIRED, I WILL SAVE IT AS A BACK-UP SINCE IT SEEMS THEY ONLY LAST ONE SEASON...

Seems to be a good heater
This replaced a 20 yo Raypak. It was straightforward on installation - I did it myself because I couldn't find anyone in the area to do an install. Ran into a problem with no display when starting it up initially. Techs helped me through the diagnostic process and sent me replacement circuit board, which solved the problem. Only hesitation is that one tech said they weren't going to honor the warranty since I did the install myself -- but then he did, and sent me the board. So I think the company can be relied upon. Unit functions well now and heats a small 9000 gal pool quickly. Electronic ignition much better than standing pilot, which I had to fool with every year on startup, cleaning thermopile, replacing thermopile, etc.

Leaking
worst item i ever bought it worked for 2 months and is now leaking water so it had to be disconected and now worthless as Rheem the manufacturer has ho warranty tech in the area , and i live in a decent size town in Omaha so dont buy one of these pieces of junk

Raypak pool heater
Our purchase was just what we needed! It was delivered promptly and to our garage door. The pool heater was easy to install and works really well!

A terrific company
Heater is perfect and the customer service from the company was terrific.

Won’t last
Heater does the job, but went out and needed to be replaced. After only FOUR months of operating use of the new unit, it has now started to leak. Will not be continuing with this brand.
