Couldn't do without it now.
I bought this item to help me with my job. I know that sounds odd, but my hands are handicapped and I can no longer button buttons and have trouble with some zippers. I have a part-time job working with clothing. Well my coworkers were always very understanding and would button Any Garment that I needed assistance with, but I always felt odd about asking for help. I went scrolling through Amazon products looking for a tool to assist me and found several. I chose this one because my hands will be forever handicapped and it looks pretty sturdy in the photos. I was so pleased when I received it and opened it and realized the photos had not done it justice. It was extremely sturdy and I knew it would last me for the rest of my life. I took it to work and started buttoning buttons and zipping zippers how to make coworkers disbelief. When I showed them how it worked they were so pleased for me because I knew it was important to me to be more self-sufficient. Needless to say this is one of the best purchases I think in the last 20 years since my hands became disabled.

Very Helpful for Those with Physical Disabilities
When I injured my shoulder and could no longer button or zip my pants, shirts. or jacket, this product was a life saver. This is also beneficial for those with mobility issues that prevent them from tying or un-tying shoe laces.

Marginally useful for me – may be very worthwhile for others.
This is a good tool. Well made from quality materials. Nicely designed so it fits easily in your hand. Pretty light as well. And tools galore. Four of them. Three of them to assist with various kinds of buttons and a fourth to help with zipper pulls and pulling apart knots. For me, though, it seems to be overkill. All of my button assistance needs can be handled by a traditional buttonhook. Two of the ViVi’s button tools are actually more complicated to use than the traditional buttonhook. However, I think the usefulness of this toll will be largely determined by the dexterity of your fingers and hands. My dexterity, at this point, thankfully isn’t greatly limited. But I can see where a person would less dexterity would find this tool more useful. I’m not disappointed that I bought this. As I said, it’s a well-designed, well-made tool. But I am not sure I won’t return it because I still haven’t decided how useful it is to me. Jerry

Due to the TSA, he never had the chance to try it.
He never got to use it. We gave this to my father for Father’s Day when he came down to visit. He’s in his late 80s. For the flight home he packed it into his carry-on. We were not with him at the time, so we could not help: TSA could not understand what this device was for and ordered him to remove it from the package then and there and demonstrate it. Since he did not get around to this beforehand, under the stress of the moment he just told them to throw it away. If you buy this for someone who needs it, please take the time to go over how to use it with them, take it out of the package and practice a bit, and don’t gift it right before they have to leave on a flight. As for the manufacturers of this product: Some elderly are traveling with only their carry-on, so maybe you need to set something up with the TSA so they can become familiarized with it, so this total waste of what could have been a very helpful tool for the physically challenged does not have to happen again.

Button-down shirts made easy!
Husband with fingers numb from carpel tunnel - this gadget makes it possible for him to button his shirts! Sturdy, compact, better than floppy-ended buttoners. A bit of a learning curve but definitely worth it! Easy to use for buttoning your own shirts or a shirt on someone else.

With hand disabilities Buttons and Zippers were not something I could do without a Bottom Assist tool. I've used 4 of the el cheapo ones on eBay accosting around $15 each, each one broke due to the metal wire hoops snapping from metal fatigue. When this one showed up online, I didn't hesitate to buy it. Yeah, it cost more to buy BUT It will not break from metal fatigue and leave me unable to dress myself. Well worth the investment.
