Great fishing rod and reel combo!. Very good quality, it is compact and very portable. Easy to use. I have been using it for a few times and gets the job done. Will definitely buy another one!, highly recommended.

This is a solid rod and reel combo. The rod is rated for 1/4-1 oz weight lure. The line weight doesn't appear to be indicated, but I would assume 8-15 lb. mono or braid. The rod shows MF (medium fast), and is rigid. This would/will make a great bass rod and is what I intend to use it for. The ferrules are tight, the rod finish is super smooth. This seems a real good combo for less than the cost of most reels, plus it's compact!

Haven’t used yet. But it’s sturdy and folds in and out smoothly. Or should i say telescopic. Reel works smoothly. Just need to try on a huge Bass and will continue reviewing.

I love this collapsible rod and reel combo. It's an excellent weight and balance for a portable system. I really enjoy bringing a stowable rod and reel when I take out my portable kayak. The rod is very sturdy and well built, has excellent casting action and responsivness with enough backbone to pull fish out of structure. Reel is a good size with very smooth operation. Highly recommend.

Disappointed with this product. This could be a nice hiking/backpacking rod if it were built stronger. Pros: The reel is nicer than I expected. Pretty smooth. Easy to assemble. Collapsing the rod is easy to do and it’s compact enough to put inside a pack or strap it to the outside. Cons: really the only negative is the shaft. It’s not durable. The shaft snapped on my 4th time using this rod. So now it’s useless. I guess you get what you pay for but I expected this would last a few seasons and not just a few uses. UPDATE: Customer service reached out to me on their own and replaced the rod free of charge. Hassle free- I had the replacement with a few days of them reaching out. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet so time will tell if this one lasts. Five stars on their customer service.

This is not the first telescoping rod I’ve ever bought, but it’s definitely the most solid seeming. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but both the rod and reel seem very well made and solid. I especially like the feature that lets you gold down the handle on the reel, making it much more compact and easy to stow in a bag or backpack. Nice solid bail wire and very smooth feel as well. I will update my review after I’ve fished with it! Updated 11-1-18: I did some fishing today and even though the bite was very spotty it was enough to get a feel for this combo. Overall I liked the reel quite a lot. Smooth, the drag adjusted easily, no issues when spooling it up (I used 20 lb braid), and it cast really well. I really like the thick bail wire, and the button that lets you fold down the reel handle. The line keeper was a very tight (and made of plastic); I had to really pull to get the line end out of it but that’s a minor thing. The rod was not my favorite. It felt like a much lighter action than I expected for a rod paired with a 3000 reel, and it was very, very soft. I also feel that it needs at least one more guide. Lastly, the sections tended to rotate a lot, so I was adjusting the eyes constantly (I’ve got several other telescoping rods so I don’t think it was user error). I did love the skeleton design and the fact that it’s got an aluminum reel seat. Overall, though, for the price and the portability, I still definitely think this combo is great!! It collapses small enough to fit easily into any backpack, and it will catch fish...you’ll just probably wish the rod had a lot more backbone.

Reel is fine. First time catching a bass the rod broke at two joints. I still got the fish in. Bag and reel are still in use.

Good cheap fishing rod. I bought two of them since my son has taken an interest in fishing. I replaced the reel on mine with a much better Shimano reel. These poles do their job.

I bought two of these Plusinno Carbon Fiber Telescopic Fishing Rod Sets and, to be honest, I wasn't expecting a great deal for the price. I just wanted something convenient for the occasional fishing trip and thought they'd be good enough for a day out. I have to say, I've been pleasantly surprised. The whole kit comes in a nice compact case that's easy to store, the rod itself feels surprisingly decent, and the reel is very smooth. For anyone who fishes occasionally rather than every weekend, this setup is pretty much perfect. My friend and I took them out for a day's fishing. Admittedly, neither of us caught any fish, but we still had a fantastic day and the equipment performed exactly as we'd hoped. The telescopic design makes it incredibly convenient to transport and set up, which is one of the main reasons I bought it in the first place. Considering the price, I genuinely feel like I've got far more than I expected. It's an ideal kit to keep in the back of the car so you're always ready for a spontaneous fishing trip. Highly recommended. If you're looking for an affordable, portable fishing rod set for casual use, I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good product for the price. Packs down to a pretty small profile and is pretty light. Capable of handling a wide variety of species from small brook trout to decent sized pike. Paired it with 20lbs braid and has decent casting distance. Small hole at the bottom of the rod useful for keeping lure on the line while the rod is collapsed. 5/5 Stars for me!
