I bought 2 of these. They are not as big as the typical trash pickup ones but at 50 gal they are good for putting around the yard by the patio to catch paper and plastic cookout wrappings and debris. I also keep one by the chicken coop for a convenient place to trash the feed bags, grass cuttings, etc. At this size they don't need emptying often and I keep 55 gal bags in them with those elastic bag holders to keep them clean inside. When needed, I bring the bag up to the larger pickup barrels and put a new bag in. The 40 gal size is easier to manage for all of us as we get older. Like other Rubbermaid products they are sturdy, and durable, and are not appealing out wildlife. I bought the blue ones because they are so much cheaper and I don't care about the color since they are stationary. Great to have the wheels in case they did get too heavy to move just the bag.

When I purchased this container, I was very impressed with the standard of delivery, the packaging and the UPS man's matching brown/yellow uniform. He whistled his thanks when I gave him a fifty cent gratuity. All went well until I unpacked the container and then I noticed the lurid blue color!!!!! Sorry but I can't live with this color, it reminds me too much of French street furniture. I just cannot stomach this hue ever since a very unsatisfying trip to La Belle France to visit lesser known Chateaus of the Loire Valley. I realized that I could not return this item for such a spurious reason so I have decided to cut my losses and simply throw it out. Here's the problem.........I must have insulted my garbage collectors some where along the way because they will not take it away. Every time I put it out for collection, they simply ignore it. They take everything else but always leave this one item. I even tried putting it in a large see through plastic so they understood that it could be re-cycled (they can sometimes be very touchy if you put things in the wrong bags, I think it's the Unions or maybe the Mafia, I don't know. One time, they refused to take away a box full of empty catfood tins, even though I hand washed each one of them so they didn't smell because they were in the wrong color plastic bag) but even though it was the right colored plastic, they just stood and laughed at it before continuing with their round. Two weeks ago, I left it outside but I had written on the side, in very large letters, in an extra wide italic Sharpie, "GARBAGE" but like they always do, they simply lifted the lid, pretended to look inside before non-chalently walking away. I have phoned 311 on many occasions but they must have got caller id and I always get a recorded message. I feel so aggrieved and one of these days I am going to confront these garbage workers and say look, the way things are going, you won't be getting any of my home-made pistachio maccaroons this holiday period. I will give them one last chance and next Wednesday, this Rubbermaid is going to be kerbside and if it is not picked up, I might have to do something drastic a la Occupy Wall Street and chain it to a road sign

こちらでは、４５Lのゴミ袋で３袋まで、ゴミの回収に出せますが、これまでの１２０Lのものでは入り切りませんでした。 少し大きすぎでしたが、間がなかなかなかったので、こちらにしたのですが、余裕があり、大正解でした。 １２０Lに無理矢理押し込むと、回収時に取り出すのもたいへんだったので、回収の方にも好評です。 青や黄がほとんどの中で、こちらのグレーを見つけました。（なぜだかグレーが一番安かった） 景観になじみ、デザインもスッキリとしているので大きさがあまり気になりません。 フジヤ商店からの購入でしたが、アメリカの倉庫からの直送（DHL→佐川）で、納期が心配でしたが、配達予定期間の早い日に到着しました。

Very well made and huge garbage bin. A little difficult to get the wheels hammered into place - but I did it. I am not the strongest person and did not have a rubber mallet to whack at the wheels, so I used a regular hammer and a wooden shim to protect the piece of metal being whacked. Once it popped into place, all was good. To make the bin more animal proof I used stretchy cables with carabiner ends on them over the lid.
