Recently I had 11 mid span locations on a 144 armored fiber cable. The cable was old, and the rip cords were useless. They would break after an inch or less. The first location took me 1.5 hours just to remove the sheath with a utility knife! Then I got one of these. It took some some time to figure out the right blade depth, but once I had that right I was removing sheath and armor in 5-10 minutes! After 10 locations of very tough sheath and armor, I’m still using the first blade. I don’t know how I would have done this job without it.

Eliminates the need of using a knife. Makes peeling cables a safe task.

I used this on 1 cable and now it needs adjusted everytime I try to use it again, and it will not stay snug to the cable to get a good ring. I will be returning this and looking for a different one.

Decent for what it's made for. I bought it specifically to scrap 250 copper, using it for work is a bonus. It paid itself already and then some. Cons would be the bottom falls out easily, springs and all. Not easy to adjust then needs re adjustment after a couple times because it moves from position.

Brought a Stupid Simple Tools stripper and it is amazing but very disappointed with this stripper. Roller won’t hold adjustment and is difficult to hold and won’t cut deep enough. However it is very solid and looks quite nice with a nice box and Allen key to adjust
