Induction range should have these as standard equipment!
People are surprised to learn that their new induction cooktop/range has a porcelain finish. It isn't glass, and yes it will scratch if you drag a pot across the top. Rather than selling your cast iron cookware, buy 4 or 5 of these and put one on every "burner" location. Protects the surface and keeps the pot from sliding, unless you get it wet! Got that? Keep it dry when in use, else it will slide like your favorite ski slope on the first run of the day. Short of covering the entire cooktop with a Silpat, these work like magic and I have suggested it to any and all my friends. If you are buying an induction cooktop or range, order one for each "Burner".

Cleaning? what's to clean? Nothing sticks to silicone. Solved my problems
I never knew the answer to making a pizza and not have to dig it out of a stainless steel pan. With this item I just made my first pizza that I didn't have to dig and scrape to get it out of the pan. I really only needed one. Since these are pricey I suggest you get the two and split the order with someone else. I put mine in the bottom of a Miranix (made in Brazil) glass pie dish. It fits like a glove, no overlap. I did have to use care removing the sil pat. I did not use a knife since you do not want to even think about using ANY metal tools on this item. Treat it with Kid Gloves. I used a small piece of wood to lift an edge and tilted the pie plate which was very hot. I was able to pull the sil pat out with the pizza still on it then onto a cutting board. I held the edge of the pizza and pulled the sil pat out. I rinsed the sil pat with water even though there was nothing on the sil pat. My pizza stayed together and I cut it in quarters on a polyethylene or is it polypropylene I don't know. My first pizza that stayed completely together. All in all I had a four piece pizza for lunch and I am pleased with this product. I paid $19 for the two. I notice they jump prices up all the time so I would not be buying at that price. How long will these mats last. The literature says for 2,000 to 3,000 uses. That's about 10 years. I sure wish I had known about these long ago. My pizza was not very big but for me it was a simple task to make it and clean up is a breeze. The glass pie plate was clean also.

Great for my Ninja Foodi
I bought these to use on my Ninja Foodi to protect the pot from scratches from metal accessories. It works well but don't use it with the Pressure Cook feature. It traps the water and the pot won't work.

Flat-Out WORKS!!!
I had a problem getting my German Chocolate cakes out of the pan last year. I had to execute the recipe 3 times before having enough cake layers to complete the cake. Each time the cake pans were greased, lined with parchment, then the parchment was greased - still half the cake will remain stuck in the pan. Enter Silpat Cake Liner. Having purchased the liners after last years time-wasting nightmare, I recently used it for the first time for my Thanksgiving baking. When I inverted all 3 pans . . . the cakes fell freely from the pan to the cooling rake. I simply couldn't recommend this product 1/8 of a tsp more.

Bigger than 9" cake pan
I gave these 4 stars just because they are a bit too big for the 9" round pans. I was able to press the silpat into the cake pan to lay as flat as possible.

Great Silpat Product
I ordered these liners to use in 9-inch cake pans & springform pans. They fit perfectly & the cakes release from the pans easily.
