It was a perfect fit, works accordingly, did not have to make any adaptions.

So I installed this on a 2002 ML55 AMG. Everything was very straight forward. Hand tighten all hoses and cooler lines. After install run engine to temp 80-90C then check for leaks and tighten slightly till leaks stop. Do NOT over torque or you will strip it and then have to replace it all over again. Works great so far, I switch between my S class and my amg so I only have about 1000 miles on it since change and no issues so far. Just make sure to follow up your install and make sure all lines are not leaking under pressure.

I am surprised every time I order automotive from Amazon. When things go wrong with a Mercedes most folks like me wonder how paying for parts and having food in the house is gonna work out. I was happy to know buying radiator here saved about 4 hundred from the dealers It's a very good if not exact fit. And I can send it back if it wasn't, with no hassle. Try doing that at a shop and your car will sit two more weeks. Being a mechanic helps when you have to take most of the front end off to change it. If you have the equipment and you tube it's a rather straight forward swap.

My Mercedes radiator lasted 16+ years but failed and I bought this replacement. It lasted 15 months with a fitting installed by the manufacturer cracked the tank. The car had no accidents but 1 year later it failed in normal operation. Now need to buy and replace with no help from the manufacturer or amazon. Car is down a week and out $100 plus labor, NO BIG DEAL!
