Yotsubato! Vol. 1 (Yotsubato!) (in Japanese) (Japanese Edition)

This is an excellent Manga for beginners of the Japanese language. It contains furigana to aid with reading Kanji which is very helpful. The conversations are also simple and fairly easy to follow. And since it covers everyday life you're likely to pick up a lot of useful words while reading as well. I read this years ago when I first started studying and I can't recommend it enough! It'll make a perfect gift for my students.

Exactly what I ordered! Book is in great condition. I'm still learning Japanese but from what I can understand, the story is enjoyable so far! The furigana is a life saver. Also, the art is really good! Compared to other manga I've read, the backgrounds and perspectives are top notch

My son is learning a new language and this book has really helped him advance. I know a lot of online learning tools are available but when you pick a Language as hard as this one you really need books. This one checks all the boxes.

This is the first manga I’ve purchased that is entirely Japanese, and I’m impressed! It’s a tasteful story with useful words inside. With basic kanji, furigana above for kanji you don’t know, hiragana, and katakana; this book is ideal for people who have basic Japanese knowledge, yet want to test it or learn more. I recommend this book for people studying Japanese, or for anyone with Japanese knowledge who likes a cute story.

As a person trying to learn Japanese on my own this has been a fantastic beginning resource for reading, as the characters speak in a modern and natural way that is easy to understand for a beginner. Plus, the stories are short, adorable, and realistic (though obviously exaggerated for the sake of humor). If you are an English speaking person looking to practice reading in Japanese, I highly recommend this series!

It's a brand new book just received from Japan and I think it'll help with my Japanese. The pictures are very cute! I think I'll probably buy more from this series when I've finished this one.

Como estudiante de japonés me habían recomendado leer mangas sencillos para niños y Doraemon y esta serie salían siempre a colación. Muy recomendable por el vocabulario sencillo y el furigana (hiragana sobre los kanji) que te permite leer aunque no conzcas el kanji de la palabra.

I got them as a reward for studying Japanese for 550 hours (mostly following the comprehensible input method). It's my first physical manga, and finishing the first chapter made me excited to get better and better at Japanese especially kanji. 🙏 Thanks to Amazon Japan, the seller, and DHL for making my dreams come true. I live in a small remote city in Saudi Arabia, so I genuinely thought it was impossible to get manga!
