A definitive guide to the characters of Marvel Comics. - This volume is a massive oversized hardback edition containing a whopping 447 pages absolutely crammed with information about every Marvel hero, villain, team, and event you could possibly want to know about, and is bang up to date and accurate up until the beginning of 2019. Everyone gets their own entry and it covers everything from major characters like Captain America, Iron-Man, and Thor, to up-and-coming characters like Captain Marvel, to the less known or even the utterly obscure (hey, you want to read about Bi-Beast or Triathlon, they're right here!). Bigger characters get several pages dedicated to their long histories, where as lesser known characters may get half a page or just a couple of inches. Each character has a biography and image(s), as well as information on their powers, height, weight, first appearance etc. The closest I could get to a complaint is that if you already own the previous volume that was released just a few years ago, then you're obviously going to get a lot less out of this one than if this is the first time you've picked one of these editions up because not all of the characters here have been used in the interim period and so a lot of the information here hasn't changed from the previous editions. Additionally there is no information on the hugely successful Marvel movies - this volume is dedicated entirely to the comics that inspired those movies. Other than that however this is a faultless piece of work that should delight any real fan of Marvel, it's characters, and their stories!

Brilliant book.
Bought this for my son and he loved it so much we bought it for his two best friends for Christmas last year. Beautiful book. Loads of information. Wonderful design.

Excellent
Bought for my sons birthday, I waited until after he opened his gift to review. He loved it he has autism and loves gaming and marvel and especially the art books related to both. He has an earlier marvel version of this book which he really likes but he absolutely loved this one, he said he loves the art work the graphics the quality of the book. The feel and the look of it and wow the weight of it screams quality and the information inside is brilliant for a true marvel fan. One very happy son which means a very very happy mum.

Excellent comic book
Very happy with purchase as described perfect condition. Bought as an xmas gift for my son who I'm sure will love it. Filled with lots of information and brilliant illustrations. Definitely recommend this to Marvel fans. Excellent delivery time especially with it being xmas week and still received it on a next day service.

9 year old son's prized possession
My 9 year old son received this as part of his birthday gift a couple of months ago. He loves it so much that he takes it to school every day (despite it's hefty weight) and is doing his best to learn the entire thing! Great to see him enjoying reading something so much.

Good quality just a bit damaged
The book is larger than I expected (pages wise) and looks to be greatly packed with info and pictures inside. My only negative is that the bottoms front right and left corner are damaged with the left corner peeling slightly.

What a great Christmas present for a Marvel Fan
I brought this as a Christmas present for my daughter who is a big Marvel fan. She loves the book and the amount of information in it. it is a good heavy well put together book, and fan of Marvel will love it.
