Still The Best
Parker proves why they are still the best… A long while ago I bought another Parker fountain pen, which was from another more expensive category, and has been a lovely pen to write with in journals. However, over time, as I’ve made more effort to journal and written more, I’ve found that longer periods of writing have become uncomfortable as the pen is quite weighty. This fountain pen, the jotter, is beautifully lightweight and comfortable to use for long periods of writing. The overall look is stunning, with the brushed steel look and its sleek design it is not just lightweight but also comfortable to hold. I have the biro version of this pen, with the same sleek look and lightweight feel. And of course being a Parker pen it writes beautifully, the ink flow is consistent which adds to the writing experience. If there was just one small thing with this pen, it’s the following. The nib is of course metal, but the top part of the pen it is attached to is plastic. The other Parker fountain pen I have has a metal top half, so maybe this one being plastic is a weight saving solution. However, it feels like it’s made this Parker pen a little cheaper over all, and possibly this is reflected in the price. The other small niggle for me is the lid. There is a rim within the lid that catches the pen if you don’t insert it fully straight, although it could well be that this is how the lid clips on. But it is a little frustrating as the other more expensive Parker fountain pen I own doesn’t have this. Again, possibly weight and money saving in some way!!! In the end though these small things do not take away from the fact this is a beautiful looking pen that writes smoothly, and is comfortable to use for longer periods of time. Which, as I said, goes to show why Parker is still the best on the market. And at the price it’s a bargain for anyone who writes a fair amount and loves using fountain pens as I do. I’m delighted with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking at buying it. Of course the one thing I can’t speak to is durability, as only the test of time will tell. But despite being lightweight it still feels like good quality and shows the versatility of the Parker range of pens. And the best part about Parker is that they now have a wide variety of pens across a wide variety of budgets, yet every range is still top quality to use. Whatever your budget or your preference, there’s a Parker pen for you.

Lovely.
I now have seven of these pens, which are the perfect weight for me and have the ideal nib thickness. I have discovered the Parker pen converter, (which you can fill with different coloured inks and ultimately work out cheaper than buying cartridges which usually come in blue or black), fit these pens beautifully. These pens are of the good Parker quality and in the Reasonably Priced range so a good fountain pen is now affordable for everyone.

Note: This product is NOT a fountain pen: it is a cartridge pen.
Although described as a fountain pen this product is a CARTRIDGE pen. I understand that you can buy a reservoir to turn it into a fountain pen, but cannot find what to order, or where from. The Parker web site is quite confusing. I have emailed Parker asking for help, but received no reply.

Very pleased with this fountain pen.
It's not the most expensive or even stylish pen, but it does look good and writes very well. Only been using it a short time, but no sign of faults or problems. It could be slightly heavier maybe, but you can always put the cap on the barrel to give it a bit more weight.

Cheap for what you get!
I love these pens, as they are absolutely gorgeous to write with. I use these pens everyday for University, as I am not someone who likes carrying a laptop around in a bag that could get stolen. These pens work wonders and feel like a dream to use. The price is great for a long term pen and the refills are not too expensive considering they last a long while.

Lovely pen, great to write with
I got this after a hankering for when I got a fountain pen at school and Parkers were the 'In' fountain pen to have! I am very pleased with it, really enjoy writing with it, feels nice and solid and the ink comes out smoothly without leaking everywhere.

Disappointing
This was bought as a replacement for the Parker fountain pen which I lost, as it fell out of my bag. I loved my previous pen and thought I was buying the equivalent but this replacement is sadly so disappointing. Sorry to say it feels cheap and tinny and has some sharp edges. The nib is scratchy and it leaks ink. I actually wondered if it was fake! I would suggest you buy a better Parker fountain pen, which I am going to have to do.

The only way to write
Its been many years since i used a fountain pen. Decided to use one again and they are amazing. Rollerball and ballpoint pens just don't feel the same now. Parker have great quality and this pen has not missed a beat. Very smooth. I don't write a lot but the pens flows nicely and doesn't dry out

Classic smooth writer
Light and quite thin body. Classic design. An excellent smooth writer. I wish they came with an ink converter instead of a single ink cartridge. Accustomed to Parker since childhood some 60 years ago, I always return to them 😊
