I don't have caller id. I use the answering machine to screen calls. Is this still good for me?

Is there a ringer on/off button?

Not one that is marked as such. But the call screening function does not ring unless the caller is on the list of numbers you provide or unless they give their name first. There is also a volume control which might also adjust the ringer volume.

Can you screen your calls?

Definitely. I will now even allow the caller to get thru to you unless they say your name and you pick up and press 1. I can see, I get lots of calls because it shows on my TV screen when I call is trying to come in but it doesn't even ring at the house. Love it. No more telemarketing people. It's been wonderful.
