Haircolor Hair Dye - Chamomile Blonde, 4.08 Fl Oz (10N)

This is the most wonderful hair color, I've been using it for 14 years. I mix the Sagebrush Brown shade with Mullein Blond (30 ml each = 60 ml) and the entire bottle of gel developer. It covers my stubborn gray and leaves my hair soft and conditioned, with a warm medium brown color. Tip: the N color code shades give the most gray coverage, the other color codes are more transparent, this is info I got from talking to the Naturcolor hotline several years ago, where I also learned that I could mix shades to customize my color. Prior to Naturcolor, I was coloring at the salon with Aveda and other expensive jobs and my hair was getting overly fragile, it's way healthier with this formula. PS: I recommend visiting the Naturcolor website (especially the FAQ's) to familiarize yourself fully with this great product.

I bought 7N my hair is medium chocolate, I just wanted to dye my greys with a warm honey blonde and make my over growned brassy highlights less severe. Even though it says that it doesn't lighten the hair, my root hair after application is now 1 shade lighter, more like a darker chestnut, I brushed the dye 2 inches into my highlights so I wouldn't loose them completely. I am super excited with the results, my greys are covered and my highlights look more like a balage, the color is beautiful, super natural and doesn't look orange/brassy at all. Definitely buying it again in between highlights appointment, super recommended. I Used the shampoo and conditioner included, plus my own conditioner too at the end, my hair feels great, plus no strong chemical smell. Fyi check their own website to see photos of the colors.

I have used this product for 20 years. I started using it because I was told there were no harsh chemicals or fumes when processing. There were only a few local quality health food stores selling this locally. Now no one carries it, so I'll need to be ordering from Amazon from now on. I use a mix of 8N Yarrow Blonde and 9N Sesame Blonde. The proportions vary. If I keep using more 9N than 8N, at some point I need to make it more 50-50. I leave it on for a full hour to process. My hairdresser who I see for haircuts only, admires the coloring, especially when I do more Sesame Blonde, and right before going in for a haircut. The other stylist come over to the chair to admire it. So I guess this means it's great! My only complaint is it fades within the first several shampoos, but then holds steady for the next several weeks. I color my hair every 4-6 weeks. My natural color when growing up was light brown, which everyone called blonde. I'm 70 and my natural color is leaning mostly toward while, not gray. This product does a good job of covering the white and blending well enough that when it fades I do not see an outgrowth line in the scalp.

This hair dye works fairly well for how ‘natural’ it is. It’s not permanent as claimed, and it does wash out within 2 weeks. I have dark hair, and I purchased the Poppy color to cover some white hair that’s been growing in patches. The coverage is pretty good. It does dye most of the white hair-there’s always a few stubborn pieces that won’t take the dye well. The smell is okay. This is the reason I sought out a natural hair dye. Most boxed dyes have so much fragrance, it causes migraines, so this was a major factor in choosing this dye. The smell is tolerable even if it isn’t great-there’s still a chemical smell to it, but thankfully it’s not overwhelming and no migraines, so I’ll continue to use this dye unless they start adding fragrance that triggers one. Fingers crossed they keep the same formula or I’m back to hunting for another brand. Also, one box for me allows for 2 treatments. I basically saturate my roots and it leaves me enough dye to blend in the rest of the color with my hair. They recommend to leave in the dye for 40min, but it left a lot of stubborn white hair pretty light, so the last treatment I left it in for an hour, and it seemed to do the trick-covered all but a couple stubborn white hair!

Honest review. As a natural “dirty blonde/ash blonde lady” I had gone to a hair salon and had gotten my hair professionally lightened to a dark golden blonde with light blonde highlights. Fast forward 6 months and my roots started growing, so I opted to this hair color as it was “natural” and the suggestion for me on their website came out to be pale saffron blonde and sesame blonde. I purchased both and I have to say that my roots are exactly the same, absolutely NO change to my natural hair color at the roots. Only difference is, it slightly eliminated some of the reddish tone from the golden blonde areas. Pros: it doesn’t have a horrible smell and it’s a good consistency to the formula, it doesn’t drip as you’re putting it on. Cons: doesn’t do anything other than tone your hair.

Leaves hair soft and beautifully colored.

For context, I love Naturcolor and have used this brand for almost a decade, so I’m very familiar with their colors and am a return customer. I used the color customization tool on their website to choose specifically which shades I needed this time around to blend my natural dark neutral blonde hair with grow out highlights. The site suggested Dark Caraway Blonde 6C + Mullein Blonde 7N on the regrowth and 7N + Caraway Blonde 7C over the lighter highlights. Now before using this permanent hair color I filled my highlights with a semipermanent neutral dark blonde a week before, as recommended by a professional. It took about 45 min to evenly apply the color from root to end and I further processed for 25 min. The color of the products in the mixing wall looked great and applying. It also looked great. I was totally shocked to see how brassy red orange my roots and overall hair looked once I had washed and towel dried my hair. I’m so disappointed because now I will have to do a tone correction to get that orange glow out of my hair, which is a sharp contrast to my natural coloring and my natural hair growth. I don’t know what I could have done to cause this, especially since I consulted their website. I will go back to using Weller color charm just to be safe. It’s really too bad because this brand is really cool and the shampoo and conditioner is great.
