Melissa's Tomatillo, (5 lb)

This was my second order of 5 Lbs of tomatillos from Melissa's and BOTH have been just excellent. The first order I believe was in 2020 and when it arrived I had to throw out 1 or 2 because they were too soft. This was utterly expected because the tomatillos come from California and I live in Minnesota. The order I just got done husking and putting in the freezer was 100% perfect, not one bad one in the bunch. And on top of every single one being perfect, Amazon's original estimate of when they'd arrive was between April 18th and 21st. I got them today, April 6th. Amazing. I moved to Minnesota from the Southwest, and whatever I cook has a Southwest origin. People working in stores in Minnesota generally squint at you and scratch their heads when you ask if they have any tomatillos. Not a widely consumed product here. I'm SO glad I found Melissa's. I can stock up and not worry where the tomatillos for my next batch of salsa or chile verde are going to come from - I have them in my freezer. Thanks, Melissa's!

Received about a week later than they said they'd arrive, and received very little information (updates) re: the delayed delivery. I expect it was due to the time of year I ordered (tomatillos not really in season). I'm pleased with the product, nice quality with varying sizes (see picture) and only had to discard about 6 fruit, but the delay in shipping without notification didn't make me really happy. I might order again for the quality, but will probably search out produce closer to home next time.

The description stated they hade husk on them. I had a Bag with not one Husk to keep them longer and better taste.I am waiting for an answer ,will update this when I get an answer from seller. Update. They made good! I did get a refund on the full amount, and very quickly. I am sorry about what happened, but they made good! Will buy from them another time.
