These gas prop struts worked great for my project. They are noticeably strong and provide plenty of support when lifting and holding the panel in place. Installation was straightforward, and once installed, they operated smoothly and consistently.The biggest thing I noticed is that they have plenty of strength, so they don’t feel weak or underpowered. They hold things securely and make opening and closing much easier. Overall, these are a solid choice if you need strong replacement or support struts for a DIY project.

The 5 stars are for Arana's customer service. I bought a pair of the 17" 20 lb struts for an earlier camper build. They worked great, so I bought another pair for my latest build. Unforyunately, they failed. Amazon refunded my $, which was nice. I reached out to Arana because failed struts are a huge safety issue and a liability issue for them. Arana respinded within 12 hours and offered to replace the failed struts even though Amazon refunded the $. That is 5+ star customer service! I got the replacement struts, installed them and they're working great.

Sturdy, well made, can't be returned once extended. The comments on Amazon said these struts fit a 2017 Thor Compass. Not mine. I have a 2017 Thor Compass with a rear slide out where the Murphy bed is located. If I pushed the bed farther back than the usual storage position I could install the struts. However, the bed could not be lowered. I looked at the old struts that said 0150N on the cylinder? Looked it up. It means 150 Newtons, which is about 34 pounds. So the struts are more thn 6 times too heavy for the bed. My inexperience in ordering them. I found 27" struts that support 34 pounds and they fit and work perfectly.

I bought these to replace the struts on the basement storage of my rv. They fit perfectly and do a good job of holding the doors up. The clips can be a little difficult to pry up but a small flat blade screwdriver does the job. One of the clips was especially difficult to pry up and I found out why when it snapped off. I contacted the seller directly on their email and they quickly sent 4 replacement heads. They have very good customer service.

These are great quality struts I bout them as a replacement on our seed tender ladder so far they seem to work great and are a fraction of the price

**Edit** The seller reached out to me after this review. I provided them pictures of what I was trying to replace. They responded by providing a product link to the correct ends I was needing. Fortunately, these ends screw on or off so all I had to do was remove the less than satisfactory ones and install the smaller, metal ones with actual retaining clips. I wish the proper struts with correct ends had shown up in my initial search result instead of having to make two separate purchases to make one product work, but that's more an issue with Amazon than the seller or product. Now that the correct ends are installed, the struts are working as intended and not slipping off the socket every time the doors are opened.I'm giving this review another star just for the customer service they provided me.---I'm less than pleased with these struts. The clips are weak and pop out of place way too easily. The ends are made of plastic and screw into place. They're also much larger than those they're replacing which means they rub when opening or closing the door. In all, I'd recommend buying another brand which has smaller metal ends with adequate clips that won't pop free every time you open or close the door.

Given the force these struts produce, I assumed they would come with the 13mm ball end fittings, but no. They are fitted with 10mm ball ends, so I had to order the 13mm ball (8mm thread) fittings separately. The one I have in use seems to work ok but time will tell how they hold up on a snowmobile trailer clamshell cover that gets a ton of salt spray in the winter.
