I seen this broadcast on Pluto TV and it is really funny. Norm does some outstanding stand-up. I never thought of him much on SNL but this is some good stuff. Highly recommend.

Norm was a national treasure. this special does not disappoint

Norm MacDonald was a master at his craft, and there will never be another one like him. His delivery, timing, setup - it's all nothing short of perfection. Do yourself a favor and get all the Norm content you can -his podcast videos are amazing. Hopefully they are posted for sale in the future - it is tough to find complete videos. RIP Norm, the true king of stand up comedy.

Enjoyed the comedy for sure but what is the deal with all the strange cuts? What was omitted?

Ever since his days at SNL doing the Weekend Update- I've loved Norm's brand of humor. I originally saw an edited and censored version of this video a while back on Comedy Central when I happened upon it at 1 or 2 am one night. Five minutes into it I had woken up two roommates with my uncontrollable cackling... they came out to see what the hell the racket was all about and a couple minutes later all three of us were doubled over. Keep in mind, all three of us were already fans of Norm's comedy- I say that because it's not everybody's cup of tea. Norm seems to be one of those comics where people either think he's quite possibly the funniest guy on earth- or he's not funny at all. But if you're thinking about buying this video, you're probably not of the latter variety. If you like Norm- you'll love this set. I've watched it so many times I can pretty much recite the entire deal and I think I'll watch it again right now!

Norm's calm and calculated delivery makes his obscene jokes extra horrifying. Bonus features include his legendary roast of Bob Saget and an episode of his sketch show. Please support this penniless addict before he becomes a homeless bum who rides the rails from town to town

Dieses einstündige Solo-Standupprogramm ist nichts für jeden. Zum einen ist der schräge, provozierende und teilweise ins surreale abgleitende Humor Norm Macdonalds nicht mainstreamkompatibel. Zum anderen sollte man schon recht sattelfest im Umgang mit der englischen Sprache im allgemeinen und der nordamerikanischen Betonung im besonderen sein. NM neigt zudem zum Nuscheln, was er durchaus als Stilmittel einsetzt - nur ist er dadurch für viele Nicht-Muttersprachler eben auch schwieriger zu verstehen.Ich persönlich habe über seine Geschichten sehr gelacht. Da gibt er praktische Tips für angehende Sexualstraftäter - erst mal herb, aber nur vordergründig - denn auf der zweiten Ebene werden Medien, deren Zuschauer, Sensationsgier und mangelndes Mitgefühl in der Gesellschaft bloßgestellt. Oder es wird in ätzender Weise über Schwulenparaden wie CSD und die angeblich stolzen Eltern Homosexueller hergezogen, und das wo die aufgezeichnete Show doch in San Francisco stattfindet - aber NM hält allen nur den Spiegel vor, Homos wie Heteros, und zwingt jeden zur Überprüfung seiner eigenen Einstellung. Und wie sieht eigentlich der Kampf gegen Krebs aus?Schon genug von diesen Beispielen? Nicht Ihr Thema? Dann kaufen Sie die DVD nicht, denn das sind nun mal die Gebiete in denen sich NM thematisch gerne aufhält. Aber keine Sorge, das ganze ist keine Vorlesung in Sozialkunde oder Ethik - sondern brilliant und sehr komisch. Böse, klug, skurril - ich finde diese Show immer wieder genial.
