Hungarian Paprika Premium Quality Sweet/Hot/Smoked (Origin: Kalocsa,Hungary) (Hot & Smoked, 100g)

This is so much better than what you can get in a supermarket! You will be amazed at the depth and richness of the flavour. Absolutely delicious stuff with nice heat, but not overwhelming. Pro tip: only add it at the very end of cooking so you retain the full range of flavours.

My family members love my paprika chicken, which I have always made using the metal can Kalocsa, Hungary paprika I can find here in the US. But I recently purchased the same brand that comes in a cloth bag from Hungary, through a company in Ireland (I don't get that either). It was worth it. Same brand but this bagged stuff is better than the metal can. Fresher. More flavor. But it is much pricier than the can, plus I have to pay overseas shipping. I will be making paprika chicken several more times this year.

This is an excellent product. It has bold paprika flavor & just a very slight hint of smokiness. I used this to make blackened fish tacos. It didn't disappoint. A little goes a long way with BIG flavor.

The price is comparable to Penzey's. We were able to do a taste test between the 2 and we both like this one better. It has a very rich and fresh taste. It's definitely hot, which we enjoy. I would recommend, for sure.

Fresh paprika. Smoked in both Hot and sweet. Must try them to appreciate. Good value.

This is the REAL Hungarian paprika (not the "Hungarian-style" that comes in a little plastic container). It's smoky, earthy and very tasty. Not as hot as I would like, but then again, I have a very high tolerance for spiciness and what's mild for me is hot for others. The package arrived very quickly, in about four or five days (it was shipped to Virginia from Belfast) -- faster than the other items I ordered at the same time. I had really been missing the authentic Hungarian flavor, and this is it.

I did not think I would ever see this again. This was a mainstay in the kitchen in Europe. Back in the States in the 2000s, I used to be able to get it from a specialty grocery store in my hometown. I don't live there now and I haven't seen this anywhere close to my new home. Once you've had REAL paprika, you'll find reasons and ways to use it, I promise. This has a lovely smokey flavor. A little warmth but mild. I usually keep mild and spicy versions of Hungarian paprika so it's nice to have a smokey version to expand flavor depending on what I'm cooking. I understand, it's not for everyone. I'm surprised to see negative reviews. If it smells off, I'd return it for a replacement as it might simply be old. However, keep in mind it does have a distinct smell and may just need a little trial and error for you to decide how you feel about it. If you're looking for authentic Hungarian paprika (and you should be), this is it. It's what we bought in Hungary and throughout Europe. It's not as good as homemade, but a close second. Oh, one last thing, don't complain that it's not hot and smoked if you bought the wrong version, as one reviewer did. Check which one you are ordering before you click that button.

Very nice smell and Smokey flavoured

Non è la prima volta che compro questa paprika, ma di solito è un prodotto davvero difficile da trovare nei negozi normali. L'ho presa su Amazon perché il prezzo è ottimo, molto più basso rispetto a dove la prendevo l'ultima volta. La qualità è sempre la stessa: ha quel sapore affumicato e piccante che sa di vero, non la solita polvere insapore che si trova al supermercato. Come sempre arriva nel classico sacchettino di stoffa con la ricetta dentro. Io la uso soprattutto per la carne e le zuppe, ne tengo sempre una scorta in dispensa perché non ci rinuncio.

Tous les paprika ne se valent pas je l’ai appris à mes dépends sur cet achat. J’apprécie énormément le paprika fumé espagnol. Et aucune comparaison avec celui ci qui a un goût plus rêche selon les critères. J’ai du les donner car aucun ne me satisfaisait. Tout est une question de goût mais à ne pas comparer avec l’espagnol.

Il pique sans faire du mal. J'adore les plats épicés, pour moi il n'est même pas assez fort. Je le recommande.
