Feels smooth and high quality i like that the edges are stitched to help prevent fraying of the edge of the mat.

After more then a year of daily usage its in great shape.The area where I use the mouse is still just as smooth as the rest of the mat where in the past with inferior mouse mats I would have to adjust where I place my mouse due to wear and grime build-up after only about a year or worse maybe only months. But this mat is really good at staying clean, Iv'e even spilled half a can of Monster Energy drink on the mat and it didn't even penetrate into the fabric, it just pooled up on top until I cleaned it up with a paper towel and the mat wasn't wet or anything. I was amazed.
