RovR RollR, Portable Wheeled Camping Cooler (60 qt.) (Desert)

I chose this ice chest over Yetti (the well known marketed ice chest) because of its features. From what I read this ice chest is NOT made in the USA but the larger models are made in the USA. Freaking love the thing, price was not lovable but I know I will have this for years. Features: I have not officially tested ice retention but I would imagine about 6 days because of our 3 digit days on a normal basis (it is listed for 10 days) Its about 50lbs, image it full but I am a male who hits the gym so this was not a concern for me Rubber feet for grip Foldable bag to carry items (such as towels, snacks). The bag can attach to the chest and is removable Rubber tires for durability (you will need to inflate them). I ran them though beach sand and the tires roll easier when 2 persons hold each side of the pull bar. This thing mounts curbs with ease. Pull bar is metal (may conduct heat) but has rubber handles The bottom is angled so the tires are in a more elevated position when pulling Comes with with an interior separator for things you do not want to get wet when the ice melts. It is removable. You can buy a side table (I custom build mine) and an attachment to mount to your bicycle. The table can be placed on 3 different sides of the chest. I believe you can also buy rod and umbrella holders. It does have a drain plug.

Gave as a Christmas gift to family members who camp. They loved it. Looks sturdy, well designed. I will look forward to their input once they use it outdoors.

For me, I really wish this cooler had the exact same design but in a lighter, non-roto-molded cooler. I wish I would have paid attention to the weight specs before I bought it. But, it's a super-cool design and the basket on the top is fantastic. Heavy At 50 lbs dry weight, it's much heavier than a Yeti 65 (29 lbs). Once you add food, drinks and ice it's around 70 lbs. I agree with earlier reviewer that you need a cross fit team to put it in a car. It's so heavy that I put it in the back of my 4Runner instead of the hitch-mounted cargo carrier b/c I was worried it would fall through the steel mesh on the carrier. I took this on a beach trip and the beach access had two set of stairs (roughly 7 stairs on each end), it was a nightmare taking this cooler to the beach, so we only took it one day. It sat in my car for the other two days. I am a women and need something more manageable. I lift heavy weights, but it's still too much for me. If you are a strong guy, or a woman who is taking this with a strong guy, then it might not be too bad. But if you are anyone, woman or man, and don't like to lift heavy objects or anyone who can't at least lift 50 lbs easily, then I wouldn't buy this. What I DO like As I mentioned, I LOVE the design. The wheels are great. They went through sand just fine. The handle is perfect. Love the inside food basket. Also, the basket on the top is amazing!!!

As a Ranger for The Dyrt, I get products to test from time to time - today I am testing the RovR RollR 60. This cooler definitely has some cool features that help it stand out. The first thing is the all-terrain puncture resistant rubber tires. I was able to roll this thing through camp and over rocks about the size of baseballs with no issues. If for some reason you do manage to damage the tires they are replaceable! The RollR 60 was very easy to pull. They have a dual sided aluminum handle with rubber grips. The design was made specifically with your heels in mind. You actually pull the cooler off to the side so it isn't constantly bumping into your heels. The RollR 60 is certified grizzly bear resistant. It has a rotomolded foam insulated lid and body which helps the ice retention (up to 10 days with proper use) as well as making it super durable. We used it for 3 days and had very little ice melt even with the cooler sitting in the warm mid-day sun. The lid seals with an airtight gasket and I can confirm when it is latched it is leakproof. The cooler has a removable dry bin inside which is one of my favorite parts. This bin attaches to the inside with a removable screw and it keeps all of the water out so no more soggy bags or cardboard! The center divider of the dry bin is cut out and it works great to fit a full size loaf of bread or carton of eggs. On top of the RollR 60 is a removable canvas storage bin. The one it comes with is almost an off white color and does show dirt fairly easily so if you are going to be getting filty you may want to upgrade to the designer tote. Even though the tote is collaspsible it is very sturdy when it is set up and can handle a lot of stuff inside. Our fold up camp chairs were hanging out the top and still didn't topple the tote. When the tote is folded down it velcros to the lid for easy storage and then doubles as a make shift padded seat. RovR has gone above and beyond with the accessories available for this cooler. They have a prepping board that can attach to the side (perfect for sandwiches, cheese boards, or cutting limes). There is an optional umbrella/rod holder. Again, you could carry the rods or umbrella in the storage tote but this would keep the rod from getting banged up with the other items in there over rough terrain. There is a cup holder because sometimes a flat surface can be hard to find and setting things on the ground can always be risky. There is also a BikR kit you can use to attach it to a bike for easy towing. The accessory I was able to demo was the stash bag. It was a fleece lines drawstring bag with 2 zippered pockets on the outside. It was perfect for putting in my keys, phone, and wallet for easy access and to keep them off the ground and prevent them from getting lost. As with all things there are bound to be features that you aren't in love with. When it comes to the RollR 60 these features aren't deal breakers for me but worth calling out. The RollR 60's handle is not adjustable. I'm 5ft 7in and it worked well for me as well as a few other people that tried it all in the 5-6ft height range. However, I could see it being difficult for someone a bit shorter than that (for example a child). When my son was rolling it around he managed to tip it backwards and because it wasn't latched there was ice everywhere. We played around with it and figured out that if you lifted it much beyond 45 degrees it would roll backwards since the handle doesn't lock open. This could be problematic if you were dragging it up a steep incline. The handle is also just about the same height as the cooler and when it hangs down it often hit the ground and did get pretty dirty. The cooler doesn't have a specific lock location. It does have the metal bars where you attach the accessories that you could use a larger padlock on but not a standard sized lock. The drain plug is not attached to the cooler in any way so be sure when you are draining it that you don't set it down and lose it. My biggest peeve was the weight of the cooler. I literally could not lift it by myself when it was loaded so getting it in and out of the truck was a 2 person job. (thankfully, because of the wheels I was able to move it around camp by myself without any issues) Overall I really liked the RovR RollR 60. If you like to bike to the beach and take a cooler or to do walk-in campsites this is the way to go. It was so nice to have the additional storage bin on to to help minimize the amounts of trips we needed to make back and forth and it was so easy to pull. Make sure you are either super strong or plan to have help loading and unloading the cooler from a vehicle (again, this would be a great reason to just tow it behind a bike).

I love this cooler! I am a single mom of a 2 year old and a big puppy. We live on the beach in NC and dragging coolers, chairs. Pack n plays, umbrellas, tents, dog food & water... not to even start on the adult and kid food is a nightmare but by being able to use the wagon bin on the top to hold all of that stuff I can seriously pull this thing out onto topsail or Wrightsville with my son holding the other side. Easy mobility on the sand is A+++ The cooler design itself is tough, it’s rugged and the tires are something serious. I don’t have to worry about sand spurs with this baby. Plus I can hold enough food and drinks for everyone for days. Just be sure to precool properly and you’ll be astounded at the results. We got the Phil Lewis upgraded bin and it adds an awesome splash of color to the cooler. Watch out yeti! The cup holder, bamboo cutting board, and stash bag are all just the cherry on top of this awesome design. Keep it up RovR, can’t wait for more!

We love this ingenious product! The pneumatic tires are the real deal and will smoothly haul more than you would think humanly possible. When our family descends on Cape Cod in the Summer our refrigerator is maxed out. We leave the Rollr on the deck and it handles all of the extra adult beverages. Check out the picture of our “pre James Taylor at Tanglewood” load. That was extremely top heavy and, based on where the handle hinges it could have flipped over backwards. The strap on last picture solves that problem. Did I say we loved this product? Yes we do!

This piece of gear is an absolute game changer. Perfect functionality for family days at the beach and camping trips with the fellas.

So just used this on a 1 week road trip to Arizona and Utah and first thing is first the ice didn't last for more than 2 days and a half and that's with opening it every 4 hours to grab water, sometimes, second I had to put a towel under it because of condensation at the bottom of it and it wet the bottom of my rental car, I'm not sure how these few things compare to a yeti bit for the price I expected to do better other than that I love the separation I also order the table and cup holders on eBay because they where cheaper there, I love that it comes with large handles and good tires to take anywhere, you know that on a yeti that's and additional 200 dollars extra, minimum, and I really like that fact that the top has a carrying box it's very helpful when you lugging things like tents or chairs around also an the note about the condensation after I had the towel on there it did better the towel wasn't very wet after wards as I would have assume it's a light condensation, but just as a heads up just put a towel under it might just be a defect in mine or a defect just in general
