Regent RD26CESB Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar Sunburst/Gloss

This is my first ever guitar and I couldn't be happier with it. I've had it a week now, and it's very easy to play and sounds phenomenal. It far exceeds my expectations at this price point. I can't put it down most nights because I have so much fun playing it. It arrived with a protective film over the pickguard that gave the appearance of a used or scratched pickguard. When I contacted customer service, they politely informed me that I need to pull this protective film off -- and when I did, it looked pristine! So, don't forget to pull the protective film off your pickguard! Customer service was fast, friendly and as awesome as this guitar. Very highly recommend this purchase.

For the price this instrument sounds much more expensive. However there are some minor issues: tuning machines could be better. It needs to be tuned almost every time it's played. Quality tuning machines can fix that. The action is a little high (for me) so some minor filing or sanding of the bridge can help. some of the frets are a little rough on the ends and need smoothing down. Not sharp or painful but just a little rough if you play up and down the neck a lot. Overall it's still worth the money. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound and the quality of the construction. Much better than I expected.

I wasn't expecting much but at this price point you shouldn't expect too much. But it arrived at my door set up and ready to play. I took a little relief out of the neck and filed the edges of the frets smooth but I could have, and did play and enjoy it just as it came. The frets weren't so jagged that they hurt your hand or slowed you down though. The relief that I took out of it wasn't really noticeable unless you knew how to check it. It didn't have any effect on how horrible I already play. The satin finish on the neck is nice and smooth and that neck is perfectly straight and small enough to fit smaller hands. The gig bag is nice and very padded with lots of storage. I was really impressed with this guitar and how nice it is for something at this price. It's worth every penny.

I can honestly say that this guitar surpassed every expectation i could have had. I previously owned an RD8 back in my high school days and that was a fantastic guitar for the price (pretty similar in early 2000's dollars) but this guitar blows that out of the water. I have played many extremely high end guitars (d45s, etc) and in passing played hundreds of acoustics and this is within the top two or three.I have never been more pleasantly surprised in my life. The guitar did not need any neck adjustments, which i know will vary from guitar to guitar but mine didnt.I'm still not 100% convinced it isnt a single piece back. If it is then they have the molding down to the nanometer since there is no visible line where the back pieces would be glued together.Harmonics are spectacular and can hold out bass notes while picking higher notes (great sustain)

I've owned several inexpensive guitars over the years - several of the most popular brands. This is my first Alvarez and I am impressed. Build quality is above average, finish is beautiful, but above all the sound is fantastic. Rich, full and clean. Placed a call to the manufacturer to ask a question and received a return call from a guitar specialist within minutes. Based on my experience, I would purchase again.

I've got to admit, I'm surprised to see no reviews on this guitar as of yet. This guitar....is fabulous. It has a fantastic tone, both acoustically and electrically. When mine came, it came with the strings set at a very playable distance from the neck....just right. The preamp comes with a built-in digital tuner (quite accurate and very convenient....and if you're plugged in to the amplifier, and you turn the tuner on, it cuts out output to the amp so your tuning up doesn't play for everyone to hear), four tone controls (treble, mid, bass, and presence, which controls whether the sound over the amplifier is full and round or whether it is more flat and harsh), and a volume control. It is definitely the best guitar I've ever owned. It is very well made to please, whether you're a beginner or a veteran. If you are looking for a new guitar, I highly recommend this one. Alvarez really won with this model.

This guitar sounds great and looks great. The problem with the guitar I received was that the tuner was cocked at a weird angle and would not work. I tried the included battery and also went and purchased a fresh battery just to make sure that wasn't the issue, but it just wouldn't work. I returned it, but would purchase another one in store where I could make sure everything works before I walk out.

What a great deal. Sounds very nice. I'm a connoisseur of cheap copy guitars and this is one of the best. Super duper ROI on this baby. $200 and sounds better than my $400 30 year old Ibanez and in it's way as good as my 40+ year old Yamaha.

Very good for the price. Its a very good beginner guitar. You can tune yourself. The sound is great. I would not buy this for children or teens with small finger. Need a good man grip finger for this one
