I would have liked it, if all boats in the book where rated the same way.

This is a good book for the bookcase for reference and enjoyment.

This is a useful guide for those confused by the search for the perfect boat. Warning: There may be no perfect boat for you, (not one you can afford anyway) but at least this book allows you to read about the various options, and gives very even handed commentary although I think the author has a strong and well founded love of the vessels from Hylas. Get out yer checkbook!

Hard to beat, if you're shopping for a sailboat you'll find something in here that will appeal.. what you need to know about something in the size range that appeals. Well worth the money.

Helpful but not overly.

Lots of good info. This is why we still but some books.

This is a starter book for those looking for, mainly, smaller sailboats. Would have liked to have seen more boats over 40 feet. And, really, there should have been something at least of the highly sought after boats such as the Hylas, Tayanas and Taswells. However, the writing and critical comments are quite good.

A little of what I expected from future buyer point of view?

An excellent reference book. I have been doing a lot of research on yacht design and this book is well laid out and packed with useful insights.
