Works GREAT in the Shower
While recovering from an incredibly stupid leg injury, I've had to wear a lower leg soft cast that can't get wet. It is currently 11 bazillion degrees where I live, and showering is quite important. Other cast covers are plastic with some elastic over them, and back in the day when I had to wear a full length leg cast for weeks, they didn't work well. I saw this silicone thing and thought... that can't possibly work, but here, take my money. It's pretty much a one size fits all thing and looks like a wet suit for a hammerhead shark... and once again, I thought... this isn't going to end well. Call me shocked and very surprised to slip that thing on and have it literally adhere to my upper leg comfortably, but confidently tight. Since it is one size fits all, it's HUGE, so be careful getting into the shower, it can be a bit slippery and there's extra stuff flopping around, but no leaks. NONE, perfectly dry! I towel it off, then hang it on the towel rack to dry for the next day. Lightweight, comfortable, and best of all, no leaks at all. It's a bit "fragile" so be careful not to puncture it, but overall, this is a life saver. Easy on, easy off, easy to dry, folds up and goes back into the baggie it arrived in. If you need a leg to remain dry, this is the cover for you. Instructions say you can swim in it but caution not to keep it on for extended periods of time because your leg will sweat and then your cast gets wet and then doctors will glare at you.

Works well. I bought the full leg cover for a series of skin grafts. I am 6 foot tall, 225lbs, size 12 shoe (mens). It fit well. Used in the shower only. Kept me perfectly dry. Recommend.

Glad that I bought it!
Due to a chronic venous stasis ulcers I frequently require bulky dressings that can not get wet. I have tried various cast covers in the past ( excluding the one that has vacuum suction ). For me, this has worked much better than the others. The first time, I received the wrong item but, I notified Amazon and received a replacement the next morning. I read and followed the directions and this cast cover works as described. It is made out of thick enough rubber so it won't tear easily. Just to make absolute certainty that my dressing does not get wet, I wrap a piece of 3M two inch waterproof medical tape around the opening for my leg. I find that the tape stays on during my shower and my dressing stays completely dry. I have only taken showers (no bathes). I have always used the tape so I can't say how it would work without the tape. I carefully remove the tape so that I do not tear the cover. I have been using this cast cover regularly for 6 weeks now and it is working well for me. I am 5'2". I bought an adult short leg. This cover goes about 1 1/2" over my knee.

Great product with SAFETY precautions
I purchased the short leg adult Cast Cover product to enable me to swim in the pool following a foot injury to both feet. I have a fiberglass cast with a synthetic (non-cotton) liner. The Cast Cover was easy to put on and remove. The waterproof seal was very effective and no water seeped thru during an active two hour test. I am impressed. I accidentally created a small pinhole puncture when I put the Cast Cover on. I believe this puncture was caused by one of the fiberglass threads at the end of my cast but it may have been something else. This pinhole puncture did NOT become a problem and I never bothered to repair it. It may let air out but didn’t really let water in. This Cast Cover delivered beyond my expectations and allowed me to swim during my recovery! HOWEVER, there are a couple issues that are not obvious - and there are significant SAFETY CONCERNS especially if used by children. First, it is important to consider the type of cast you will be covering to determine the significance of water damager in the event water does enter the cast. During swimming activities there are countless ways that water can enter or come in contact with the cast, not limited to the time actually swimming. Depending on the type of cast the consequences vary significantly and can threaten healing, cause scars, and compromise the integrity of the cast itself. Water must never remain in contact with the skin for prolonged periods. Water can also cause hidden infection that can be very, very serious. The inside of the cast must dried completely if it becomes damp for any reason. WARNING: Second, a cast displaces more water than it weighs which makes it float in water - like a water wing. When the Cast Cover is added there is additional buoyancy. In my case, the cast covered my feet which caused my feet to float and the rest of my body would hang upside down in the water. TO AVOID DROWNING it was necessary to use Water Noodles to keep the upper half of my body afloat. The kicking and struggle to keep myself upright was also much more stress than I considered safe for my broken feet. Needless to say this is VERY DANGEROUS and can KILL YOU. The only remedy I envision would be a 5 to 10 pound rock or lead weight inside the Cast Cover for each foot to neutralize the buoyancy. After the first few swims the buoyancy and stress problems mentioned above didn’t bother me so much.

The BEST cast/boot covers available!
This brand makes the best cast/boot/bandage covers available. I have previously purchased the hand/short arm cover for carpal tunnel surgery recovery and was impressed by the performance. I recently had toe surgery and have needed to be in a cam boot for the past 5 weeks. 4 of those weeks I had a k wire in my toe so I had to shower with my foot covered keeping it dry. I purchased the short leg/foot cover and again have been happy with how it’s worked for me. It’s very easy to get on and off, works impeccably to keep the area dry, and is incredibly durable. Yesterday I wanted to wash the outside of my SUV but needed to keep my bulky cam boot dry and clean. I figured I don’t need the cover my foot to shower any longer so I would use it to wash the car in the driveway. If it tore, and I assumed it would on some level, that would be ok with me. This boot held up to me walking on our asphalt driveway and textured concrete walkways in a heavy rigid surgical boot and did not rip AT ALL! There was a few black staining marks from the asphalt but no tears, holes, or even pitting/texture indicating damage of any kind…and my boot stayed bone dry for the hour plus it took to clean my car. If you’re in need of a cast cover don’t hesitate when it comes to buying this one. They are fantastic!

Works perfectly. Its more expensive than others but for sure it works which is worth peace of mind.
Excellent. Uses Dry Suit (think scuba diving) tech to keep your cast dry. My cast goes to the knee therefore the size is the small. Definitely measure floor to above the knee. Works perfectly. The technique I use is to put both hands inside the latex and pull apart, get it onto the foot DO NOT LET GO, lean back a little to lift the foot, keep pulling it up the leg until its above the knee and then let go. There will be air trapped so put one hand inside and push on the puffy parts up the leg. You don't need to get all the air out, just most of it. when you get out, dry the outside completely off. Stick both hands in and remove it. There will be perspiration on the inside, dry that off with a different dry towel. Then you can lay it down. Do not clip it with anything else as that will damage the latex. The latex is thick and will handle some abuse. I highly recommend this product because I bought it with my own money and used it. I'm glad someone figured this out so I can take a real shower without worrying about the cast getting wet. I DO think if you are laying in a pool (NOT SWIMMING) that it will protect your cast. Don't wear for more than 30 minutes because it will cause circulation issues.

May cause excessive sweating dampening the boot.
Used this product when I was on vacation at the beach. This product worked well over my boot, kept anything from penetrating. The only downside is that the sun is beating on it and causes excessive sweating my boot sock and the inside of boot was very wet from sweat. I did not go in the water so I know it was sweat. I wasn’t able to use my boot for a day to dry out. Which put me on the shelf for a day as well.

So easy!
I don’t know why it’s taken me 3 knee surgeries to look for something to keep my leg dry but here we are. I’m kicking myself (with my good leg of course) for using a garbage bag and painters tape for the past surgeries. Currently I’m in an immobilizer brace and an ace bandage from my toes to my hooha; life is pretty uncomfortable right now. I purchased this cast cover because though I’m short, a trash bag was not going to be long enough to over my whole leg-even the contractor bags. This thing is an absolute life saver! I’m able to remove my immobilizer so I just have to cover the ace bandage but I’m sure if I had to cover it, this thing would stretch right over it no problem. This is the only one that I could find that would accommodate my larger than “average” thighs. It goes right on, stretches no problem, then snaps right on my leg and magically zero water gets in! Literally not one drop! It also is super comfortable, doesn’t leave marks on my leg from being tight, and seems very durable. If you’re having leg surgery, broke your leg, or need to keep dry for literally any reason, this is going to save your sanity!

Perfetto IMHO
Ottimo articolo: funziona alla perfezione, si indossa facilmente e isola completamente dall'acqua, almeno sotto una doccia nomale.

Great quality and waterproof seal
This was a lifechanging purchase for 2 months in a cast following surgery. Great quality and seal (even submerged in a bath) - no issues after 2 months of daily use. I had quite a thick plaster cast and was able to get it on, although it did require some assistance in the beginning - I'd rather it be trickier to put on and have a good seal than risk getting the cast wet. Don't think I looked as good in it as the bikini-clad lady in the photos did but I sure felt like a million bucks.

Endlich easy duschen!!
