Piggie Pie!: A Halloween Book for Kids

Such a cute and humorous story with nods to a couple of old school childhood stories. My children loved the story line and illustrations when they were little and now I am now reading it to my granddaughter who also loves it. *Be sure to read with a witchy voice and add some cackles, you’ll be a huge hit!

It’s my in law’s tradition to read this to their kids for Halloween so when we had our own kids we decided to carry on the tradition. We usually just borrow it from the library but we decided to own a copy this year. We love this book so much. It’s great. ❤️ Definitely a fun read. Especially if you ready it with a witchy voice.

I'm buying this book again because my first copy was loved so much, it fell apart! The story is funny and I love to read it aloud every year to my third grade class, using a witch voice. My students get a big kick out of the crazy witch and how the animals on the farm outwit her. The story is very humorous and my students always request a second read. It has a great twist at the end and they love the beautiful illustrations. Definitely recommend this book!

This is a wonderful book! My kids loved it when they were little and I gave this one to a neighbors little girl , who is 4, for her birthday. Her and her mother love to read it. It has wonderful illustrations, that let you interact during the reading. The parents like reading it as well as you can put some emotion into the reading and just have fun with it. it is a good way to get children to love reading books.

I originally bought this book about 11 years ago when my youngest child asked for it at the local elementary school book fair. It immediately became our favorite bedtime story. The story evolves around several fairy tales known to all like The Three Little Pigs, Old McDonald, and The Wizard of Oz. This is all wrapped up in one humorous story that is easy for children to follow. I recently purchased a few more copies of this fun book for grand children and it has become a true favorite in our house hold. Sure to get a "Read it again!"

This book is sooo much fun. It was my daughter's absolute favorite when she was little. I've been going through things (we all have a lot more time at home these days) and got to our collection of children's books. Our copy is tatered and torn but it is absolutely one I want when I have grandchildren someday so I ordered a new one, with the library binding this time. Update: I thought "library binding" just ment stronger, more sturdy. I was wrong, it means used with multiple sticker tags from a public library. Still love this story but still on the lookout for a new hardcover copy.

The book is awesome. I've been checking it out from the library for years to read to my preschool class. Finally decided I needed my own copy. It arrived today, (early by the way!), but the transporters had not been kind to it. The book is creased and bent and it makes me sad. All that would have needed to be done was to put a strong piece of cardboard in the shipping envelope, or something equal to that, so that my book could arrive actually looking like a new book. I don't know if this is the correct format for this, but it's what I found.

Piggies Pie by Maggie Paladini is a fun twist on several well known childrens stories and songs. My kids loved it! And now I'm gifting it to the next generation.

great story and great for Halloween

I had been searching for this book for a few years, and thought it was out of publication. Was delighted to find it on Amazon and ordered 3 copies for myself and grandchildren. It is a cleverly written, well illustrated book for children ( and adults!!). Dr. Oz has even given a recommendation.
