Roy Buchanan’s Nancy. Roy used a number of guitars in his career, although he was most often associated with this 1953 Fender Telecaster named Nancy. A pioneer of the Telecaster sound, Roy worked as a sideman and solo artist and recorded two gold albums. He never achieved stardom, but he is considered a highly influential player by those that did, including Danny Gatton, Arlen Roth and Jeff Beck. The subject of a 1971 TV documentary, Roy was subsequently given a recording contract with Polydor Records.
