Zambian A+ Grade Green Emerald Approx 200 Ct. Set of Fine 20 Pieces Natural Green Emerald Loose Gemstones Beads

This item is being sold by the carat weight. Some bags have less than 20 pieces; however, when you weigh the bag it comes out to 200 carats. It is not being sold by the stone. The cuts are nice however each stone is not the same size. I purchased these to make a choker collar. They are lovely and I will purchase more for I need 300 to 350 pieces.

Faceting is awful, some corners are not even square. The package read “Zambian grade A+” not Colombian. Streak was white, hardness around 7, specific gravity 2.65, fracture was uneven to conchoidal, which suggests they are emeralds. However, this also matches quartz. Chelsea filter did not show red or pink as it would if it were an emerald. IGS indicates grade A+ emerald “… have numerous eye-visible, high relief, black inclusions … [with] high relief white clouds covering 70 - 75% of their bodies”. Several stones I received had black inclusions covering 60 to 70 % of their bodies. So … If you are planning on making jewelry out of them to sell, just hope your customer is not very savvy or discriminating! I tried it just to see what I would get … well, I saw! You decide.

I don't buy crystals on Amazon but, this was too tempting to pass up. First thing I did was a Specific Gravity test... They passed. Second thing I did was take my MOHS picks to them... they passed. I don't have a refractometer but, the other tests tell me these are exactly as stated in the ad. These are not high quality transparent stones but, they never claimed to be. They are nice and a great value.

Very good color, clarity varies from transparent to translucent, the largest stone was roughly 20 carats. Whatever color you like you will find in the pack anything from a light blue green to a deep forest green. I believe that they are natural (had carbon inclusions, no dye spots etc. Overall very good quality.

Item is stunning and beautiful! Will definitely repurchase this item! But, this item is taking too long to get here.

Stones came as described, larger stones about 5/8" x 1/2", smaller ones about 1/2" by 3/8" inch, I did not have any way to verify the number of carats but I have no reason to doubt it. They came in a plastic bag about 2" by 2-1/2". Classic emerald cut with some irregular corners, very dark green color. The natural stone under the dye appears to vary from translucent to black and on some of them that creates an attractive slightly mottled appearance. The reason they got only 3 stars is that I hoped to use these to make inexpensive pendants for an event with an emerald theme but they are so obviously dyed that I cannot get excited about them.

The stones look natural as advertised and it’s raw form and then beautiful condition and the delivery was quick
