I've installed 2 of these and they work so well
I put one on a 1964 Pontiac and a 1957 GMC both with Edelbrock carbs and both work perfectly. I used a relay and suggest you do too. It on my YouTube channel: bobeaseshop

Excellent pump for the older engines
Excellent pump for the older engines. I bought this to replace an older pump and am very satisfied. It produces plenty of pressure (6.5 psi shipped) an d volume to supply my Dodge 440 4 barrel Motor home. It is also whisper quiet. You have to listen very very carefully to hear it.

So far, so good!
This Edelbrock fuel pump replaced a Holley Blue electric pump that really sucked right out of the box- way too loud and began leaking before long. Installation went smooth with 3/8 NPT to -6an fittings and fuel lines, no leaks and you can't get any simpler than the 2-wire hookup. I'm hooking it into an oil safety switch real soon though, but first wanted to try it out, fuel flow at 6.5PSI was perfect to my 670 Hollet Street Avenger on a modest 350SBC with 10:1 compression and a CompCams Magnum 280 with .480lift. These fuel pump are really supposed to be pushing fuel to the engine in front with a filter ideally before it, but I just don't see the room, but I'll size it up again when I get access to a lift. This pump wasn't cheap, but I guess if it last I'll be happy- it should last as the car rarely gets driven much and only in nice weather. As far as loudness, I'd give it a 5/10(loudest), with the Holley Blue being a 9/10. I can live with the noise of this Edelbock unit, also the rubber isolator was nearly 2x as thick as the Holley one. I'll try to give 6month updates on longevity, and revise my rating accordingly. I presently give it 4/5 stars simply because it was costly and still untested in terms of longevity- there's so little relevent information about this pump which kinda makes me worry a bit too....guess we'll see!

Solid unit
Quiet operation night and day from the Holley Blue. Hooked it up primed car and it fired right up running at about 6psi no adjustments.

Disappointed
I installed this pump to find out it leaks. There was an o-ring missing from the factory. After many phone calls and emails edelbrock customer support was of no help at all. Completely ignored. After sourcing a new o-ring elsewhere I found that the factory preset of 6.5 psi is not accurate. This one was set to 4 psi. 6.5 psi is all this particular pump can put out. Very disappointed with edelbrock. This is not an item that should be returned through the mail as it had gas in it, so stuck with it. PS quite noisy.
