Using this unit to power a NAS, does the job perfectly. I had a back ups that died, opened it out and saw the components were quite cheap so went for a better unit. Also throwing the old one away wasn't something I wanted to do but it didn't have replaceable batteries like this one. A MUST is to buy the additional 3 yr warranty, the batteries on these last 3-4 years, a new set or batteries is more than the extended warranty (batteries are covered under it) so makes perfect sense. In addition it will give you pre-paid shipping and an extra 3 years on the unit (6 yrs in total).

This is a well designed and constructed UPS with many features, however I have had to return for testing after many hours on the phone to Apple and APC help lines my Apple Mac mini M4 pro don’t recognise it so it doesn’t work.It might just be a faulty unit or a compatibility issue .

I'm using my UPS to power 2 x 4 watt aquarium air pumps. I'm using it purely as emergency life support only. I don't care about filters, heaters or lights. I purchased the smart as it is 100% compatible with any pump or filter. With the UPS it is stated that I will get 6 hours runtime which is sufficient for any power outages in my area. UPS has a small foot print approximately the size of a shoe box. In fact as it was smaller than I expected I've placed it next to my PC on a shelf. Device is plug and play except you must power on the device to activate it. This is not obvious as the settings panel appears to power on when kettle lead is connected. This is missleading. The device is actually still powered off at this point. Once powered on the device sets up with default settings which appear fine for normal use. The device came with two outlet power leads that terminate in kettle lead ends and a short Ethernet network cable. There is no kettle lead for power and no way to plug a standard uk plug into the outlets? So I purchased a kettle lead. A 15 meter ethernet so I can wire it to my home network and two extension leads to UK sockets. Once wired to ethernet you can talk to the device and set up alerts to warn you if the power goes out which are sent to email. No issues with my APC. Is perfectly quite and cannot be heard. Setup easy and backup requirements meet my needs. Update Power test shows that the unit is more than capable of powering my two airpumps for the stated 6 hours. After charging APC for 24 hours unit has gone into green mode. My home temps are 23-25oC. Unit runs at 40oC running on batts and 28oC when in green mode. All working as intended.

Product it’s self seems ok but I bought it for the cloud connectivity and tried to get it working and needed to email to fix - took a few days but is now working so I can recommend.

All installed and working well. Tested by switching wall socket off and UPS and NAS communication working. Only issue I had was windows11 putting Pc into sleep mode every five minutes, this was fixed by amending the advanced power settings in Windows for “battery” to “do not use” when “plugged in” (just google it). All ok now.

so good, i bought another one!. does the job, power goes off - APC kicks in and shutdowns my pc at the set time. the software interface isnt the best, clunky as hell, but it works for me. over the last 20 years i have been using APC ups's and never had a hardware problem, mostly the software side sucks a bit for noobs.

Good ups power supply use it to protect my pc in case of power Failure your data is safe if the power goes.

These cloud enabled UP's are pretty much the same as the old version they replace. No fans on the smaller model, unsure if the bigger ones have one, The unit takes days to charge to 100% from 99% unlike the old models and the info isn't always correct from what's in the menu about charge rate neither. This was a replacement for one that did not charge properly and had odd display issues. Ive knocked three stars off because i think mines a second hand unit either from APC or Amazon, it had a battery date of February2020 already in it and was set up, and considering these difficult times and the fact I'm disabled and cant drive I cant keep trying to return these heavy things at £20 a time via Hermes. Make sure the one you get is new and you should be fine.

Ho acquistato APC perché già sapevo di prendere un prodotto di qualità, avendone esperienza dal passato con un altro UPS, dato che dove abito la corrente non è molto stabile. Infatti anche questo modello non si è smentito. Praticamente inudibile, e questo personalmente era importante perché è posizionato nella camera dove dormo, anche quando entra in funzione. Sul display vengono date un sacco di informazioni, come ad esempio la quantità di carico in uso in quel momento, ed i relativi minuti di corrente che può continuare a fornire. Per fare un esempio, nel mio caso, con PC performante collegato, insieme a due monitor (un 32 pollici 4K e un 24) e ad una televisione 43 pollici, l'UPS mi da 25 minuti di corrente. Un piccolo consiglio che posso dare è di attivare il servizio Smart Connect direttamente inquadrando il QR code posto direttamente sull'apparecchio, diventando così un'operazione veramente semplice. In più ricordate che se volete essere informati via mail dell'entrata in funzione dell'UPS anche per brevi periodi, bisogna attivare questa funzione (normalmente disabilitata) direttamente dalla pagina web relativa, nella sezione notification. Altrimenti vi avviserà solo per il raggiungimento del tempo limite, e per la richiesta di sostituzione batterie esaurite. In conclusione, un prodotto consigliatissimo.

Lo compre porque me avisa y registra los cortes electricos sobre mi correo electronico. Aun y así me gustaria que pudiera darme datos sobre los vatios que tiene conectados. Tampoco estaría de mas que incluyan la opción DHCP a la conexión LAN. Aguanta la carga hasta que le queda el 1%.
