Book is amazing! the game it's a mixed bag.
i'm splitting this review up in two parts: the physical book and the game itself. here's a TL;DR:the deluxe edition looks way better than the standard version. V5 is both good and bad, that it creates a vampiric singularity: everyone blends in yet no one stands out despite the writing claiming otherwise. great entry point for new vampire players, recommend homebrewing v20 mechanics and rules.the hardcover book is well made, every RPG book MUST have a bookmarker, i feel it makes finding important pages easier to get to. the art is subjectively good, using a mix of real photos and drawings. i like the model designs of each clans, what they would ideally wear and look like.that's where the positives end for the book, the game itself, where to begin? World of Darkness books are NOTORIOUS for their poorly organized books, lots of fluff to get through to find the information you need to know. this is true for the Chronicles of Darkness line as well. however, the biggest issue where the confusion lies is the writing. it streamlines the game, however by streamlining the powers and clans, they are all beautiful and don't really have a distinct look or feel. Nosfuratu are ugly yet in the drawings it doesn't show that. malkavians powers aren't unique anymore, so no one really seem unique. they unintentionally created a vampiric singularity, no one stands out but everyone is the same. the only positive i have is the hunger mechanic is great, works out really well and makes my players think about when and where to use their powers.overall, this is a beginner's friendly game, but a nightmare for Storytellers, so i recommend homebrewing some V20 rules and such into V5, being a vampire is fun but i don't feel the tragedy or the personal horror the game is supposed to feel. however, it is an amazing system for drama and political intrigue so that's always good.

Good product great book!
Absolutely love this item. It came perfectly wrapped without any damages. Iām pretty new to the whole tabletop thing, but the book is really great at guiding you through everything. It reads like a story in some places and you just get so immersed in it.
