High-Efficiency Protection for Network Enclosures and Media Boxes
The CyberPower ST625U is structurally ideal for placement within an electronics or media enclosure. Because routers, modems, and small switches typically draw low wattage (often under 50W combined), this unit can provide significantly extended runtimes compared to its full-load rating, often keeping a home network alive for 30–60 minutes during an outage. • Enclosure Compatibility: Its slim, 3.2-inch depth and keyhole mounting slots allow it to be mounted vertically against the backboard of a structured wiring cabinet or electronics box, maximizing internal airflow and cable management. • Surge Suppression: Offers 890 Joules of surge suppression and EMI/RFI noise filtration, which is critical for protecting sensitive broadband signals from line noise that can cause packet loss or connection drops. • Management Integration: The HID-compliant USB port allows for direct integration with PowerPanel Personal software, enabling automatic, graceful shutdowns for connected NAS devices or small PCs if the battery reaches a critical level. • Mechanical Integrity: The casing is robust plastic, and the GreenPower UPS design minimizes heat generation, a vital feature for equipment placed inside a closed electronics box. This UPS provides a "painless" way to ensure your internet connection remains stable during power flickers and brownouts, representing "great value" for a dedicated networking backup.

Great product
Wonderful product, u u just have to be careful of your loads because it will not work if you overload the battery, so know your loads

Helps me keep a stable connection.
I use this for my modem, Wifi access point, and DNS server, because we have a lot of brownouts and the power goes out for a second here and there pretty often. It used to take forever for my routers to reboot, this is great because it kicks on and keep everything copacetic so I don't loose internet when there are small breaks in the power. You will know it comes on too because it snaps really loud.

Gives you just enough power.
Overall I really like this product. However let me explain the downfalls. There's really just one. After the battery was fully charged I installed the device to my computer. I connected my computer a 32 inch monitor that's also a television. I also connected a clock radio. So I have three items connected. I installed the PowerPanel Personal software that can be downloaded from the CyberPower website. This software allows you to see everything that is going on with the UPS power backup. Mine shows that I am running approximately 100 Watts in order to power the three devices connected. At full charge capacity it says that it should be able to run 18 minutes if the power goes out. Not bad just enough power to save what I need to and shut down. However I tried it out by unplugging the device. after plugging it back in approximately 40 seconds after unplugging. It said I only had 14 minutes left to run on the batteries. So there is the downfall. There's just not enough battery power to actually use it for a long period of time. But honestly I was not planning on using this except as a safety, in order to power down my computer and save what I needed to. This is an excellent product for that purpose. I edit photos and videos on my computer and this product will give me the time I need in order to save my work if the power goes out. Not to mention to save emails or letters if need be. I only gave this product four stars due to the fact the battery time indicator was not truly accurate. Otherwise I highly recommend this product.

Competitive value, efficient design, survived a major power surge!
ST625U received 2-25-2020 - I have not had a power outage yet but they happen a lot here in Florida during tropical storm season. EDIT UPDATE ON 10/19/2020 - IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE OF ALL THREE OF MY ST625U UPS units when a massive sustained power surge from an underground power cable failure burnt up 5 of my home's stand alone surge protector outlets! My CPAP kept running right through the event while my neighbor's wall wiring burnt up! All 3 of my 625's are still working after giving 40 minutes of stand-by power and their breakers did not blow - END EDIT .... SECOND EDIT 10/2023: all 3 of my units and their batteries are still going strong! I just slept through a short power outage while using CPAP END SECOND EDIT. A slight odor of 'burnt' electronics right out of the box is normal for some electronics product manufacturing methods, do not be concerned with a slight odor that does not get stronger with use. It will diminish. I tested this unit with my powered 5 motor recliner, an LED desk light and laptop running while it was unplugged from the wall 5 minutes. I will definitely update the review if any issue develops (done!). I'm a degreed biomedical technician and this design looks fine for short term outages. This is NOT for CPAP sleeping use, battery is far too small except for short power outages. The isolated battery compartment opens easily with one phillips screw and only has battery wires inside it. I inspected the battery and found 13.2 volt charge after 6 hours plugged in. The charging circuit is extra energy efficient and causes almost no detectable waste heat, an excellent feature, as claimed on the box. After 6 hours there was only one small area of the case that had a barely warm feeling, like human skin. You can triple the run time when the original battery wears out by adding a larger battery that does not fit in the case, like a 17 AH SLA battery. You have to extend the battery wires long enough to let the battery sit next to the UPS. You must have soldering skills and the right tools to do this. The larger battery will not allow use of larger, more power hungry devices but it will greatly increase run time for your existing use during power outages. The larger batteries cost about the same but they are more durable. I have no interest in setting up the software monitoring. Just a gimmick for this size device. The UPS software may not recognize a larger battery capacity but it might if it is based only on voltage remaining. As the instructions say, this will beep when power goes out but you can mute the beeping in advance by tapping the main power button twice. I don't know if it retains the mute setting after a complete battery discharge. You can just locate a battery the same dimensions of the original if you want it to fit in the case. It is 'CPS5.5AH' 6 inches long, 3 3/4 high without terminals, and 2 inches wide. I decided to buy another one of this model for my modem, router and Ooma phone box to prevent those tedious full reboots after a power glitch.

Zero percent failure rate!
For years, I always bought a name brand (3 letters and starts with the letter A). In the past few years, I have experienced a 100% failure rate. Before I retired, I was responsible for buying computers, displays, battery backups etc. for the county we lived in. I always bought the name brand and seldom had a problem. Here at home, I also bought the name brand but in the past 2 years, every backup failed, not the battery, but the electronics within the backup. I switched to CyberPower a few years ago. The 4 CyberPower backups I have are working great and I've not had a single failure.

Complete Garbage.
So I have several of these units from a few years ago, but am just now getting around to writing a review on how bad they are; I really don't understand how these are highly rated. I purchased to help protect my NAS as we have frequent, brief power blips at my home. They do absolutely nothing - except throw an alarm - when the power goes out, even for half a second. Using the Powerpanel software, the battery is just fine, the connected wattage is well below the threshold, so why can't these handle normal condition. I have another unit connected to a desktop PC, and it performs the same way). Even when doing a "self-test" with the software, the unit simply shuts off with an alarm, which also means it returns no test results. So, testing it further, got the point of simply plugging a lamp into the unit, and it simply shuts off (with no alarm) but one single light bulb can't even be powered on battery backup. It took me a while to realize how back these were, thinking I just needed to adjust the settings but have been busy with other things and never got around to it until today. Lot's of trial and error - and help from ChatGPT - telling me why this unit sucks. Either that or I got not just one bad unit, but an entire batch of bad units.

ST625U, great UPS unit for the price, included power monitoring port was exactly what I needed!
This little UPS is really nice for what you pay. 8 outlets (4 with battery backup) and a smallish footprint. I have a cable modem, router, and micro server plugged into the UPS side. We get weather related blackouts here and it's already gone through one 20 minute one like a champ. It's incredibly simple to use, just charge it up and plug everything in. Even the monitoring port is a simple plug in, I connected my micro server into the comm port and it automatically recognized it and started monitoring power levels, no extra software required. My current modem/router/micro server set up only has a 12% load on the UPS, which gives me approximately 50 minutes of run time, which is more than enough time for the server to recognize it's on battery power, stop processes, and safely shut down if it seems like it will take a bit for power to be restored. All-in-all, this was a really good purchase. I'm happy with it and highly recommend.

Buen precio

Easy and quick to set up
So far, so good. Easy to set up (did not bother connecting the USB cable) and all seems good so far without any power outages. Outlets well-spaced. Some are surge protected and the other side surge protected and backup battery.

Saves me every time !
PC with Intel 8700, gaming video card, 4K 40" monitor, ethernet hub, voip phone, 2nd wifi router, all behind this UPS. We're getting the occasional power blip. Sometimes a second, a few seconds, sometimes longer. The shorter blips totally keeps everything going. The longer power outages, I can comfortably use the PC and 4K monitor for a bunch of minutes. How long I'm actually not quite sure. The whole point is that my PC is shielded from noise on the power line and to not have to reboot during a power blip. With a longer outage I have enough time to shut everything down gracefully. So yes, it's winner.
