Has anyone used this with the helios and canon m3?

I have an m and an m3: works on both

Is there an optical element, or is the adapter hollow?

There is no optical element in this adapter. I've used it with my 35-70mm, 50mm, and 100-200mm telephoto lens with good success.

I have a canon eos-m and would like to use the adapter to mount a canon ef 50mm f/1.4 usm lense. will this adapter work?

Hi,This adapter fits Canon FD mount lenses only. Does not fit a canon ef lens, 50mm f/1.4 usmYou need the following adapter.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AQAI2OA

Can this adapter work with Canon Canomatic 58mm/1.2?

It will work as long as the lens is an FD Mount.
