The Berenstain Bears and the Forgiving Tree (Berenstain Bears/Living Lights: A Faith Story)

We love these books. they teach valuable lessons and are fun to read. My 8 yr old can read them too and enjoys them.

My Grandbunny is four and this is a perfect book for her. When I read it alone the first time, I thought it might be too long for her very short attention span and that she might not quite grasp it all. I had bought an Arch Book and thought she would have had an easier time with it. The reverse was true. The arch book was harder.In this book, the "moral of the story" is placed at the end of the book and I do find that right near the end, I lose her interest some. But overall she really likes the Bears and the pictures. I've just decided to kind of find a way to shorten it some so she actually reaches the lesson and the whole point of it. What I really like about this book is that it gives questions and a really awesome idea for an activity. I absolutely intend to build a great big paper tree out of construction paper and put it in the hallway with all the family pictures and let her put the leaf with the people she wants/needs to forgive.

We want the best for our children so why not throw out the TV and read to your child often!These books are a good start - real life topics and great discussion points to relate to a little mind.They challenge us all to live by the golden rule and help to strengthen a good conscience.I only wish all the nations and peoples of the world took to heart and put into practice the intent of the authors of these books. Our constitutional republic works as a democracy only when the hearts and minds of the peoples are united in moral oneness. When we toss biblical priciple out and think the void can be filled with anything and everything else we will certainly lose our moral compass and drift to certain doom. I pray all americans would read these books to thier little ones, maybe they can get us back on course.

This is a wonderful story as all of the Berenstein bear books are. We must teach our young children how to forgive others and themselves. Many adults today see therapists, take drugs and find their lives in complete disarray because they dont know that God sent His son Jesus that we may all be forgiven. That forgiveness is for us and for those we need to forgive. We must teach generation about Gods love and these books do just that. My children and now grandchildren love these books.

My little one enjoys reading this story over and over again. It is a great way to teach self-control, empathy, love and acceptance of forgiveness.

Love the book! All Bernstein bear books are great! We thought it wasn’t delivered but found it in the mailbox. Amazon said front door when they actually put it in the box. We got it now, thanks!

I think what's great about this book is in this book someone did something by accident and later on the other person forgave the other person who did the accident.I like this story because a little boy had a birthday party and then an accident happened and later on in this story the little boy went someplace alone and got calm and later on the two boys forgave each other.I think you should read this book because I think it is a nice book and two people forgave each other. YOU CAN LEARN FROM THIS BOOK.I am 7 years old and I am almost 8 years old and I made this review now I think you should read this book and later you can also do a review.4/9/2015Bye Bye

Good message about forgiveness

I was disappointed that the new books religious. I loved the books as a kid, but when I bought a bunch for my son, I was very disappointed that they push Christianity now, as we are not Christian.
