Just like using normal coloured pencils that you have to sharpen...but you don't need to sharpen them. FANTASTIC! I use to do delicate colouring in my various books to give me some brain space and they are perfect for that. You can absolutely colour in fine details. Any concern I had over not having the sharp edge of a sharpened pencil was quickly put to rest with these as you can easily use the edges of the nib to colour with. Would recommend to adults and children alike. I would also recommend the Crayola 24 Twistable Crayons for larger images where the detail is not as necessary.

I like the product. They were exactly what I was wanting. I had Prime and there was a two delay, then once shipped, it arrived in two days. But why the delay? I thought with Prime there would be NO delay.
