CatEye - PB-1100 Bike Bell

Bought 2 (gold and lime) for our adult bikes. Rings louder than others (I have those on kids bike) that looks like Cat-Eye. This has a solid durable ringing mechanism on the inside (see youtube video about easy DIY fixing if ever needed in the long future to further extend its lifespan) that is built to last (unlike others with plastic/spring ringing hammer on the outside (that will fail in time due to this design). When the strap is fully tightened, it is immovable on the handle-bar. It would fit any handle-bar size (kid/adult, road/hybrid/mountain bikes) and could be place on any side (right or left). It is small and light weight and I placed it on the right with the bell facing/under the handle -bar because I'm right-handed and that nicely tucks it out of sight and within easiest reach of the thumb without moving my hand at all. Recommended.

It's just loud enough for bike trails without being obnoxious.One of the things I immediately liked was the ability to move it around the handlebars until I found the right spot. I found it works best on the right side with the band next to, but not interfering with the cables. I wouldn't cut the bracket band because you'll be stuck with wherever you first put it. It's easy to reach in this spot and although my other bike has a thumb operated bell, this index finger bell is convenient and easy to use too.I like the tangerine color which goes well with my ice blue bike, but wish it were brighter like a day glo or something reflective. It's the perfect size, doesn't take up too much space and nice looking.The directions are on the back of shiny paper inside plastic and easy to miss. I didn't even notice it until after I put the bell on my bike.Don't lose the nut that holds it in place. I dropped it a few times and it's small and easy to misplace.It stays in place because of the design, but it may take butterfingers like mine a bit longer to put on due to dropping the small plastic nut.

I needed a bell without one of those awful gun hammer strikers that are tricky to ring and that would fit my 31.8mm handle bar. This bell is perfect. You can ring it with a flick of the thumb while keeping your hand on the bar. It makes a pleasant ring-ring with a nice fading sound and is as loud as any bell I've used. And, you can ring it easily several times to get the attention of that moron with the ear buds running down the middle of the trail. The mounting strap tightens with a nut and is the best attachment device I've seen. CatEye uses them on their computers as well. I still had 1.5 inches of strap left and that was mounting on a 31.8mm bar. Wrap the bar with a strip of friction tape first and the bell won't slip at all.

Most bells are a pain to install, especially if you have grips on your handlebars. This one's dope because it attaches like an adjustable zip-tie. So it fits any bike, fastens as tight as you want, and it even has a durable "ping" design, rather than the usual "ring ring" bell design of something that won't last.

Perfect bell for mountain bike on trails that are shared with hikers. Also, good for biking through those blind turns where you can’t see incoming bikers or hikers. Cat Eye has been the best in bicycle accessories for many many decades. Japanese quality shines in the product itself, the precise owner’s manual, and the careful packaging.

This bike bell was a gift to my daughter, it was easy to install, but it has some movement, it does not stay immovable. Maybe if I go further with the flex tight band with the risk of break it.The bell sounds great, she loves it.

Attention does not buy anything from this company they are going to take your money. I bought this bell and is not work well and keep lose on the handlebar. I return it to them and the refund me $2. I wish if I CAN NOT GIVE THEM ONE SATR.
