how far will spot light shin 400 yards ?

As mentioned, this light will light up the retinas of animals, probably at 400 yards. But you're not going to recognize your friends or read a billboard at that distance. I took mine to a golf course when I got it and it's amazing. It will easily light up an oak tree at about 200 yards. It'a good light. I recommend it.

I also need to know the specs on the AC adaptor so that I can replace one. Can anyone provide this info?

What is the charging time?

It takes 4 or 5 hours. But it's a pain because you have to charge them every couple of months or so or they go bad. I have the regular Cyclops Sirius and a Cyclops Sirius 500. The Cyclops Sirius holds its charge longer and stays bright longer. If I were you I would not buy the 500.

where do you get the 6v 2.5 AH rechargeable battery for this unit? No one seems to handle them. I've had this for years and it's been a great light.
