Mapex 800 Series Armory Boom Stand, Black Plated

I have 2 Mapex cymbal stands, a snare stand and a Hi hat stand (600 and 800 series) all in black.. really sturdy and well made.. look great and the prices are very reasonable for what you get

When it arrives you will think it is a wrong shipment. The boom stand is inside of the symbol stand loosen everything up and pull it out. Super easy to use, function is great, nice and heavy to hold a Tom and a cymbal. For the price I paid, these are great values. They look fantastic, the black hardware is no joke.

great boom stand....sturdy and has easy clip for quick cymbal mount. the oversized adjustment levers also are a plus for quick adjustments. It also has memory locks so you can set up the same everytime!

The Mapex Armory boom cymbal stand is the best heavy duty, low budget stand I have ever owned. i use the Armory boom stand to hold a Yamaha tom mount, a cyclops tambourine and cowbell mount while holding a 20 inch medium heavy crash cymbal and it doesn't budge. I'm very respectful of my drums and hardware especially the way I apply a drumstick using proper dynamics so maybe the Armory series would be different for someone who just bangs on the drums and cymbals which I never have since I started playing acoustic drums and cymbals in 1969.

And I've owned at least a half dozen different brands. These stands are super sturdy and have all the bells and whistles! I wanted full tilter control without the ratchet adjustment - these fit the bill. Every bit as good as DW at a fraction of the cost. Only complaint is that they are HEAVY! These will add about 6 pounds to my hardware bag after I swap them out with my current Gibraltar stands. But they should last a lifetime. Too bad Mapex doesn't offer a straight stand option.

I Have used it for 5 shows so far and it’s a very nice stand. It’s what I would call a middle weight stand, it can hold a heavy cymbal but it’s not as heavy to tote as some stands. I actually think it’s a perfect size. I love the different tighteners, with smaller hands I find them much easier to turn and grip. I wish all the tighteners were the different style but I understand they are larger than the old style so maybe it won’t work for all the joints. The legs are very lightly concave to help them fit underneath drums. Wouldn’t be too hard for the black to scratch off if it came in contact with anything sharp, but that is not problem for me. It holds a 20” ride played hard quite well.

Extremely impressed with these stands. Very durable but much lighter than they look. They collapse into a straight stand or extend to a boom. You can place your cymbal at virtually any position. My favorite feature is the adjustable locking tilt feature. The lock is large enough to grasp and make a quick adjustment but if the lock is in the way, pull it out and rotate it to a different position. I've owned many stands but these are my new go to stands.

The Mapex Armory stands are great…. However that is not what we received. I ordered a new Chrome Mapex Armory stand, but what I got was a used black Mapex Rebel stand that was wrapped up and put in a Mapex Armory box. Buyer beware!!!!

It has everything you want from a cymbal stand and yes it can hold a Tom too with ease. Highly recommended of you have the budget.

Seems solid enough thus far, and I hit pretty hard. Nice smooth joints; it'd be nice if it had as much articulation as the high-end Pearl ones I've got but for less than half the price I can't really complain! Plus it's jet black, which makes it extra appealing for tryhards like me.

I'm completely new to Mapex. Having come from cheaper line of kits like Westbury and DDrum I was pleasantly surprised when purchasing an all Mapex shell and hardware drum set. All I can say is that Mapex makes quality products and their cymbal stands hold up to any of the top brands like pearl, tama, or gibraltar. Must buy if you want something sturdy and that can hold the weight of a possible tom being mounted to it.

The stand is exactly what I needed very sturdy.

excellent stand, I'm using it with black Mars drum kit, cheaper then those​ which is for Mars and I was not able to find black hardware for Mars kit.
