No longer 100% USA and New balls are stainless steel and can damage bike.
I’ve used Double Take mirrors for years and can confidently say they’re built to last. My original pair is still going strong after 5 years of use, and another set I bought 3 years ago has held up well too. The mirrors and arms are Made in the USA, which I really appreciate for quality and reliability. The newer model does come with Chinese ball mounts instead of the original RAM mounts, and honestly, the ball mounts wear out quickly—my brand-new set started showing wear within an hour. The stainless steel ball studs can also cause a chemical reaction with aluminum or mixed alloys when wet, leading to premature corrosion on your bike mounts. This was a big concern for me. That said, I’m changing my rating from 3 stars back to 5 stars because of two things: Longevity – My original pair is still working perfectly after years of daily use. Improved Purchase Options – Their website now allows you to buy just the mirrors, so if you want USA-only parts, you can avoid the Chinese components entirely. I’d still prefer to pay $10 more to keep everything Made in the USA, but overall, these mirrors remain a solid choice for durability and functionality. Pros: Mirrors and arms are Made in USA Excellent long-term durability (5+ years proven) Website now offers mirrors-only option Great visibility and adjustability Cons: New ball mounts are lower quality and wear quickly Stainless steel studs may cause corrosion on aluminum mounts Mixed sourcing feels deceptive

Expensive but very good mirror
Install was incredibly easy. Screwed right into my stock mirror locations and looked much better. Vibration increases with speed and rpm but you can still see what's going on. I'm sure it will vary with the amount of absorption your stock mounts provide. Thinking about adding a method to dampen the vibration but it hasn't caused any issues. Easily adjustable and stay in place very well. Seems very sturdy but have only wiped out once since install and was on dirt. Will update review with future spills. Great product would recommend, no price on safety.

These are much better than stock
I put a set of these on my KTM 390 ADV. They are simple to install and adjust on the fly. The glass is good quality and provide a clear image. They are not cheap, but the quality is worth it. They perform the job really well and when I sell the KTM I’ll be moving these to whatever I buy to replace it.

They seem like nice mirrors.
It's hard to get used to the big bulky look of these mirrors, but I have to remember I'm not on one of my scooters but instead a Yamaha 82 xt 550. All the adapters were included, as well as the left-handed one for the original mirror post. I can see very well behind me now. They can be adjusted with the turn of a wingnut. They are made out of a lightweight alloy metal and seem very sturdy. I've had them about 60 mph and they don't shake or move at all. Alot of money, but all in all I'm happy with them. I've yet to bump them on anything but I believe they will do exactly as they are supposed to.

Tough Mirrors, Better than Stock
The mirrors on the KTM 890 Adventure suck. The round mirror is tough to see around my broad shoulders. Replaced them with the DoubleTake and wish I would have done it sooner. Easy to fold down on a tight trail and simple to put back for the road. The RAM arm keeps them where you put them.

Great Quality!
Purchased these to replace the stock mirrors on my 2019 V-Strom 650. They took less than 20 minutes to install, the instructions were clear, all of the hardware was included. Once installed, the RAM ball/socket mounts remain where positioned. When obstacles are encountered, the left mirror (which is NOT reverse-threaded) simply unscrews it's mounting bolt from the mounting point on the bars. The right mirror simply swings out of the way, and can be re-positioned by loosening the clamp, adjusting the mirror, and tightening the clamp. The left side requires threading the mount bolt back into place, then doing the same process as the right side. The stock mirror was reverse-threaded, and used an adapter (with LocTite) in the bars to convert the reverse-thread of the mirror to the standard thread of the bars. These mirrors are both standard thread, so loctite on all bolts would likely resolve the problem. Overall, these mirrors have a much wider range of adjustment than the stock mirrors do, the construction is solid and inspires confidence, and these are much less likely to break in an accident, if you drop the bike, or clip a stationary object while riding trails. If the left mirror was reverse-threaded, and the instructions included adding LocTite to the mounting bolt adapters, I'd probably have given these 5 stars overall. The price is high, but so is the quality. These are solid mirrors, and they are worth the price, especially considering these are probably the last set of mirrors you'll need.

Great for off-roading
I really like these mirrors. They are very stable at freeway speeds and off-road. They don’t move unless you want them to. I really like the adjustability and that they can be set so I can actually see what’s behind me and not just what’s on the side of me. They don’t stick out past the bar ends, so I don’t move them when off-road. I did move the right one on a Ride so I could see behind me when standing. That was convenient. They are nice and big, the glass is good quality and they don’t vibrate on the highway which is what I was afraid they would do. I would recommend to anyone.

Purpose-built & FUNCTIONAL!
Double take mirrors are made for adventure. The composite construction is solid, all necessary hardware is included (mine is a 2022 Teneré 700 and the counterthread Yamaha adapter is included). I appreciate the infinite adjustability and excellent field of view. The RAM mounts allow easy movement and then can be tightened to ensure the mirrors stay put. Additionally, it’s easy to fold them out of harm’s way when riding in close quarters with branches, etc. Wish I’d bought them sooner!

These mirrors are excellent, far better than Africa twin oem ones. Pretty much un breakable, clear field of view, no vibration , easily adjustable.

Do not hesitate to SMASH that BUY NOW! button! I’m a fussy old fart and sat on the fence for a full year before pulling the trigger. One year of my life…WASTED! Lol This mirror set up is absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t be more pleased. Solid as a rock, excellent field of view, NO vibration, quick on, off and adjusting. Takes seconds to remove and carry in your backpack or bag so as not to have them stolen. These FAR exceed the stock mirrors on my CRF300L!! Ya sure they are not cheap, but that concern completely disappears once you use them. The are THAT good!

Found out about these from a Youtuber Itchyboots. I already use Ram mounts across a range of vehicles and applications and have always had problems with mirrors on the off road bikes I ride, so when I heard of these it was a no brainier. I had some B sized mounts on the bike already so pretty much just bolted them on, adjusted them to my liking and then locked them in place with the anti-theft locks. Recommend them if you do alot of off road riding or if you are like me are particular about your mirrors
